Ingram's defense matters more than his offense at this point. _________________ *sighs*

Dave cmon man. | I don't like how he plays. He's too trigger happy and doesn't know when to stop when he's bricking. He's playing too many minutes. Ingram only had 6 FGA that should never happen. |
Let's be honest. Ingram's shot attempts isn't your real concern. | It's a major concern. |
Then you're focusing on the wrong thing. |

Sounds like a real hater. Ingram taking 6 shots has nothing to do with Nick Young so don't really no why that's even brought up. |

the real reason you don't like him is because he is taking your boy's spot |

If Nick can continue to keep his mouth shut and play decent defense it will
change his career.
And the other thing is shoot only when he is hot. Or take only good shots.
If he can play team ball, play decent defense, and increase his shooting percentage he will become a valuable member of the team.
The same holds for Lou Williams. If he can learn to play team ball it will change his career for the better also. |

I agree with the latter and think that Swaggy has done a good job of that under Luke. As for the latter, Nick needs to continue to shoot as long as he gets good looks. I don't want him passing up good shots because he isn't "hot". |

Could not agree more. A lot of this is simply based on what Brandon is capable of offensively and what his potential is in regards to defense. Everything else he brings to the team makes his shot total less impacting at this early stage of his rookie campaign. One of the luxuries is that he can bring that offensive aspect of his game along slowly while still placing his stamp on the game. The fact that the offensive portion of his game was the most touted heading into the draft exemplifies what kind of player this kid is. His very limited defense on Harden and the way he bothered Livingston in the 2nd preseason game against GS is something this team could sorely use right now. _________________ We back. |

Ingram was on the bench unit with JC, so Young wasn't taking any of his shot attempts. And for a rookie player in his first game, 6 attempts is fine. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Props to Luke for knowing how to use Nick. Nick going from the doghouse to starter. What a difference coaching does. |

Nick playing well. Why only 24 min? Shooting well, got to line, and playing D. |

Nick had his hands full with Russell but he never once stopped playing hard!

Nick Young also said today that Metta has been the guy working with him on his defense.
IF that's the case I look forward to seeing the wonders Metta is gonna do for Ingram.. |

I could not stand Nick Young and thought he had wasted all his talent and was headed out of the league.
Luke got through to this guy and he is playing really well. He is playing good defense, he passes the ball and is a decent shooter. Wow I am turned around on him. He probably comes off the bench when Ingram is ready but what a find.
I am a fan of his now and hats off to Luke for turning what I thought was an eat the contract situation into a team asset. |

SWAGGY-D!
Swaggy will have to put on his running shoes tonight in order to defensively stick with M. Ellis, J. Teague or P. George.
This should be fun and interesting to watch. |

Nick Young has, consistently, surprised me and I'm so happy that he's still with us and D'Lo and he are on the same page.
I will never question personnel decisions by our FO for choosing to stick with Nick and Lou and how big of an impact they've had for us. |

You guys are giving Luke credit for Nicks play.. You're seeing the same Nick you've always seen. Only difference is he's in a system that isn't iso centric. We may not like his off court antics but he's always been a baller. He's effective so long as he's not allowed to play iso ball. |

Played good D on Korver throughout the game, pretty sure that the only time Korver scored was when Nick wasn't chasing him. Got hot in the 3rd and iced the game with the three. |

So then the same applies to a player like Monta Ellis or Jamal Crawford? Rick Carlisle and Rivers got credit for those two players turning things around. |

I'm glad the Lakers saw what they had in Nick Young and kept him. There was maybe one or two other people in the keep Nick Young camp along with me lol. I'm happy everyone else has come around for the most part.
I hope he stays with the Lakers on a decent contract (I feel he'll almost certainly opt out to look for a bigger deal if his play is consistent this year) because next year I feel the "young core" is going to take another big step forward in terms of development. Having a player like Nick Young who can get buckets while coming off the bench? And giving good effort on defense? Yes, please. |

I have to hand it to Nick. He's been a real contributor. _________________ LeBron, AD, & _________. Stay tuned.
