I've always thought of this as a very underrated Kobe performance.

yea. there are so many forgotten great games from kobe.
this one reminds me of that memphis 3Q outburst also...like 56 points? And that was before we were used to him dropping 40 like it was 20.

I'm suffering from serious post retirement Kobe syndrome. The lack of news about him is deeply disturbing.

AK-47 one of the many Kobe stoppers who could never guard him.

That Memphis game that Shaq sat out and Kobe had 56 in three quarters was simply amazing.

I remember this game. Kobe had offseason knee surgery and this was his first "I'm back" game. I actually remember a few people beginning to (ridiculously and hilariously) wonder if Kobe was in the beginning stages of decline prior to this game because he was in his 11th season and had his second knee surgery in four years.

man I miss Kobe so much.

just the other day I was thinking, how special it was to see Kobe play.
on any given night, he could explode and drop 40, 50 like it was nothing.

how I wish I could go back in time to watch all those amazing performances once again.

I was actually at that game with my older bro. I remember him saying "watch kobe drop 50 on them tonight." Right when we walked in. And just like he called it. It didn't even seem like 50, that's how crazy kobe was with his scoring ability.

When you watch Kobe live you feel as if he has 18-22 points and then you check up top at the end of the game and he would have 37

Players drop 50 nowadays and its big deal , but with kobe it was just another day in the office
