that would be strange to see him sit. he hasn't played much all year, and we hardly use him. hope he plays |
Only 2 ways he plays.
1. Calderon cant, and even then luke might just start Lou or something.
2. Blowout, if warriors blow out game Huertas will see the floor.
* one of Huertas best game from last season was against warriors. |

With all the aches and pains and tweaks we have, at this point, I believe that Huertas & Robinson will see a little action in the next two games. |

Calderon is the 02-03 version of Steve Kerr on the Spurs right now. Remember when Kerr came in as a pinch hitter and killed the Mavs in game 6 of the playoffs? Unexpected, but deadly. It looks like Calderon can give the Lakers a boost with instant three pointers. Just... find a way to hide him on defense... please. |

He was definitely stroking it last night. |

There is no way anybody would take that out of context. We are too professional here at LG.
So yes! It was nice to see him stroke it last night? Wait...? |

So, I hear there might be a chance that Zach LaVine could get traded. How about Jose for Zach?
According to ESPN trade machine, it's a fair trade. |

I actually don't think he's been that bad but then I don't expect a veteran bench player to play like Chris Paul |

Agreed, he has, somewhat, held his own. His defense isn't there but he is a good floor general and when his shot is falling he can be effective. |

Calderon essentially plays like we hoped Steve Nash would play from the 2013 to the 2015 season. |

Yeah Calderon is not that bad. You do have to insulate him on defense because he's just not good at it but he can provide a few good value minutes with injuries, foul trouble, etc. |

He's a good shooter but liability on defense. |

Tonight it was apparent footspeed is his problem. That's why I like Huertas getting past his man, getting people moving, creating for teammates, and being a threat to shoot a runner or something. The offense is stagnant with Calderon running it. |

Me too, but Huertas works best when he's with Black and Russell/Young. The smooth roll man and a shooter
We can't really give him calderon's current job because that lineup is not to his strengths. It would require moving a few players from the bench to the starting lineup, which Walton has shown he is definitely not going to do _________________ Kobe |

I don't like to see Huertas on the floor at any costs, he's simply and purely awful and not NBA caliber. I'd rather watch Calderon at his worst than watch a minute of Huertas |

Jose at his worst is worse than "not NBA caliber."
I hate his defense.
I hate his handles.
I like his shot. |

Lakers like Jose Calderon's flexibility filling in for D'Angelo Russell
Quote: | Usually, Luke Walton has evaluated his starting point guard by how much he has blended his scoring talents with both running the offense and elevating his defense. With D’Angelo Russell out of the lineup for the past week recovering from a sore left knee however, Walton judged his replacement through a different lens. |

Ive been a big supporter of Huertas and earlier in the season wish he would have got more looks in certain combinations.
But to be honest the past few games hes come in hes just been terrible and a lot of it IMO has to do with confidence and inconsistency with playing time.
I think now when he comes in hes thinking to much instead of playing. Should I shoot? should I pass? |

Monday's Lakers News: Add Calderon to injury list
Quote: | Calderon out as Lakers' guard woes continue: The Lakers will lack yet another guard on Monday against the Utah Jazz. Jose Calderon was declared out for the game after straining his right hamstring on Saturday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Calderon is the third Lakers guard to suffer an injury that will result in missed games. -- Los Angeles Times |
