Freshman Robert Barragan told a Reno Gazette Journal reporter at the scene that he saw two male students were fighting outside the school library. One of them pulled a knife and stabbed the other. A police officer then shot the knife-wielding student in the shoulder. The student fell to the ground and another officer arrived.
Officers appeared to have detained a group of teens behind the school shortly after the incident. It was unclear why they had the youths sitting on a curb behind the school. |
