I remember he was one of the premier players in the XFL at the time, him and "He Hate Me".....

That was the last great Colorado team....Big 8 Conference....Salaam, Michael Westbrook, and Kordell Stewart. The 64 Yard Miracle at Michigan from Stewart to Westbrook...Salaam takes the Heisman, Doak Walker and Walter Camp awards.

One loss (Nebraska) cost them the opportunity to win the National Championship.

Yeah, those 'Husker teams in the mid-90s kinda stopped everyone from winning National Championships. It was great.

Heart-breaking hearing about Salaam. I can remember going to Lincoln and watching that CU team, they were amazing. Tragic loss, may he finally be at peace with his demons.
