Quickie likely gone for awhile according to DL. Listed as a lower body injury. I'm guessing a groin tear? |

For a stint like this probably. Might've been overworked at the World Cup of Hockey thing. Jeff Zatkoff has looked alright as a backup for Pittsburgh and has even outplayed Fleury when he was there. But frankly, we can have a brick wall in front of the net and we still aren't gonna win until our scorers score. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Quick out for a while will really test this team's mettle. With the injuries they already have, lack of goal scoring, contract anchors weighing them down and little salary cap space and no top-notch prospects, this may be the start of a transition year for the guys. Dean needs to re-stock the pipeline badly. |

4 straight overtime wins. Dowd is looking very good as the bottom six center. I'm hoping to see more development from the younger players because the Kings' prospect pipeline is pretty barren. |

They still have some holes that were not yet addressed. It's gonna be a tough season, but when healthy and clicking, no team will want to face them. I'm hoping that the young players will develop and they make another trade with Columbus to address those holes without giving up anything of value. That seems to be the recipe for success. |

Yeah. Our SC runs always had a key ex-Blue Jacket. Scott Hartnell? Nick Foligno? Seth Jones? Brandon Saad? David Savard? _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

I don't like anything I have seen thus far besides them closing out some OT games. Still early and I know this team picks up steam late but I see no hunger. |

This team is just all kinds of bad. If only they could get rid of the albatrosses on the team and get some youth, speed, and especially skill in the lineup. The injuries have killed the team as they don't have much depth. McNabb had been the best defenseman and he's out.

I was very fortunate (thanks to my wife's connections) to sit directly behind the goal where the King's shoot twice today - literally the best seats in the house in all of sports.
It was incredible. My son sat in the closest seat possible to the real action and watching his amazement during the game was a genuine pleasure.
I've always felt that hockey is the best sport to watch in person, and today's experience just cemented it. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

LOL!
Our running joke today was that the goalie should sit his ass down because he was blocking our view. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

5 wins in a row for the Kings. They've gotten back into Wild Card position and are within striking distance of 3rd in the Pacific again. Carter continues to carry the offense on his back. Kopitar is coming alive. And, of course, Budaj continues to be the MVP of this year's squad, easy. He now has 7 shutouts, and his GAA and save % numbers are typical of what we've come to expect from Quick in the regular season, and maybe even a little better, to be honest. He's been a true godsend.
Forbort has also been a pretty solid contributor, and I think he's going to be a nice one for us for a while. We still have issues with our 3rd D pairing, because McNabb isn't good, and Gravel, though he offers size, doesn't move very well. (Other guys they've tried like Gilbert haven't contributed much, and Greene is a shell of himself and injured.)
This season could have completely gone off the rails, and maybe it still will. But I think the fact that the Kings are even in a playoff position right now speaks to the character they have in that locker room and it speaks to the system that Sutter has in place. |

I thought it was headed that way, but this is indeed encouraging. Hopefully it is indicative of hunger and direction and not just a fortunate streak. It's certainly come at a good time, going into the second half of the season. Hopefully it is momentum building. One thing that I think is encouraging is that given the win/loss record, their Goal Diff is pretty good. Perhaps that will benefit them in some close games down the road. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know
