Apparently Nick Young is the Lakers MVP.

If Lou had been out instead of Nick, they would have lost every game.

Still can't get over an 8 second call AFTER a timeout.

Any chance the Kings would do WCS for Clarkson?

so we get 3 starters back next game? Nick, DLo, and Mozgov can only play when DLo is playing it seems...so hopefully he will return

What are you talking about? This should have been a win. This team (bleep) sucks.

They're playing like crap right now, but I don't think the team sucks.

Also, bad stretches like this were expected prior to the season starting and the Lakers exceeding expectations.

Expectations change. Being happy because we're better than the worst team, what ESPN expected us to be, is just so sad.

I like how they battled back, but what a disappointing game.

How many times have you thought the same thing? Yeah seems like a trend with this team.

Not a ton of times tbh. The team's calling card all season has been their effort and ability to battle back prior to the Pelicans game last week or so. Watching them show a lack of spirit recently, despite the injuries, has sucked and reminded me a little of last year.

But I haven't thought it a lot. It's been an overall great season to watch.

Even in many of our wins, we were down double digits.

Same formula now, just don't have the pieces to come back. A good team doesn't routinely go down double digits. A good team we are not.

What if this is the new normal? Ugh.

I thought we hit rock bottom last game. Well, this is a new rock bottom. Losing to the Suns, another lottery team much younger than us, at home is inexcusable.

The Suns were 6-16 and missing one of their best players and they looked like a much more cohesive team on both ends.

Lakers have trailed by at least 10 points in 19/25 games this year.

This is where I feel Luke Walton would really benefit with having a veteran assistant coach. He needs someone to play the bad guy sometimes and get on them. The effort for almost 3 quarters was abysmal.

because Cauley-Stein does not have the market value as Clarkson, not even close. I get Clarkson is struggling, but Cauley-Stein has no significant trade value

If Russell and Ingram aren't stars, this will be the new normal.

Injuries or not this was a winnable game. We have to play defense, cut down on turnovers and string together a more consistent effort for 4 quarters instead of one or two. The intensity and movement was not there for at least 3.5 quarters tonight.

JC and Randle just don't get it. Randle is probably fine as our Pf moving forward, but he can't be a playmaker or a primary ball handler for us. Both JC and Randle are low BBIQ players with limited talent who believe they are more than they are.

Now Ingram, hitting clutch 3s and clutch rebounds...he has "it". DlO has "it"...hell, even lou has some of it. I don't expect anybody to be traded this season, but JC especially is not a winner...he would thrive in an environment like Philly. They were gonna make a RFA offer for him this past offseason and he has a reasonable contract. He gotta go...for Noel or Okafor, he'll let's even remove the protection on our pick to make it happen.

The team is losing, and often losing bad with Lou going supernova. What's the point?

Trading Lou is what a smart rebuilding team would do. Lou is playing out of his mind and upped his trade value. The Lakers will not make the playoffs this year, so what is the point of keeping Lou on the team?

Say you keep Lou, and end up winning 32 games. And you trade him, and end up winning 26 games. What's the difference?

The Lakers aren't going to be a great team with Lou Williams on the team. They might become a great team if they can find a Paul George/Kawhi Leonard type player in the latter 1st round if that is the pick you get for trading Lou.

depends on what your goal is....smart GM's trade players at their peak value if they do not see them as part of the long term plan...so it depends on how the FO views him, but his value will never be higher than now

It's just hard to tell right now if what we saw was normal, or us playing above our heads because right now we are looking like last years squad.

So the question is, when we get the guys back, will we just snap back to what we were or stay on the current course with our players back?

Reminds me of Kobe in 2004-2005.

Have to wait five more days to see.
