There was no one to give it to with 4.5 secs left or so. Big cluster up top. The mistake was as you said, take him off the dribble. Why a pull up 3?
I wonder if Luke is teling DLo not to play inside the arc. All DLo does is jack 3s after spending a whole season and offseason dominating opponents off the elbow and post. |
By give it up I mean run something for someone. Jazz just built a wall to make him shoot or go right (and had help waiting behind), should have seen it earlier and not just dribbled right to where they wanted him |
Yeah he put himself into no man's land after any possible play fizzled out. The shot was a second hand thought you saw he didn't even gather. |

LETS GO LAKERS! |
u saw the dumb look on his face for 12secs before jacking up air ball? |
well, he can't really take Ingles off the dribble, which is sad if you think about it.. so, he had no choice but to chuck an impossible shot... Russell needs to develop some quickness, ASAP. that or pass it to the people who were actually making plays, Randle and Lou. |
Come on now. A good argument doesn't need to be disingenuous. |
it was Randle and Lou who should have taken the shot. both carried the Lakers the last 3 minutes of the game.
It was obvious Russell's shot were short ALL night, and he was taking mid range jumpers and they were short, and then he takes a shot from the parking lot... result was not a surprise. |
Neither Randle nor Russell really got open, they just stayed static. The disingenuous part was that he can't beat Ingles though. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

That's why games where Lou goes off are really unproductive in the grand scheme of things.
Unless the Lakers plan to play like that the rest of Luke's career, where they simply play 1 on 1 ISO with the hot hand during 4th Qs |

So its the knee?
Just gotta make sure I'm getting this right.
Dlo was looking good before it. Decisive. Quicker.
He's not.reverted back to preseason game under byron |

Well he spent all offseason working on his post game. Where is that? Where is that patented elbow jumper he was so successful at last year? |

This team is fun as heck to watch, winning 35 games will be a good step. |
Yeah these are the type of games they win later in the season and next year going forward. |
This game would have been a blow out last year, 100% positive, competing against the WC playoff teams is a testament of our progress we are making as a team. |

No just good denial. I don't know if he was holding but didn't look like it before. Last possession both Lou and Julius look like they were getting bear hugged from Jazz defenders though. |

honestly i never liked him learning that move. it was good maybe when kobe was playing.
right now if he goes to the elbow and plays from there it ruins the entire ball movement and offensive flow
he should attack the rim more tough. i dont know if he athletic enough to do it against the other starting PG's |

Not enough player movement on that last possession. |

I would love a set up play for.Ingram on a situation like this. I'm sure well have others
Ingram and that length would probably have a good shot at making something happen. |

I know GT has numbers to the contrary, but Russell appears to be busting. This from a guy who wants him to be awesome and is a fan of his. He can't get to the rim, his passes are too sharp and often too low to handle and his shooting appears to have regressed. If it's a knee issue...just sit out, you just cost us a game. |

Yeah, they set a double screen up high and Utah played under it, and no one moved anywhere. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

He has bad parts of games and bad games, but part of the bust part is just seeing those. He wasn't shooting well in the first half but played excellent d, moved the ball, and made good decisions. _________________ “We must always take sides. Luke said he set up a play off screen for Lou and Utah stoned it, and no one did anything else. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

Anyway, good game for Lou. Good game for Randle. Good tank loss.
Trade DLo. |
He's so much better than your Okafor, so there is that. |
No, he's not. Especially for this Lakers team. |
Your boy has an RPM of -3.44. That is the definition of horrible (and literally the worst center in the league). DLO is at +0.03 FYI. |
