It'll take some acquisitions, to be sure. We still have a dearth of talent. But we also need to really practice patience. It's not realistic to expect that the team would just get incrementally better each and every game. They will develop in fits and starts. Two steps forward, one or 2 steps back, etc.

I'd say it's better to assess the team's progress about every 20 games or so, this year AND next. If we're not showing real development at the end of that time, then we have a real problem.

just because the team hasn't win doesn't mean it hasn't progress

Blown out --> competitive = progress
