Still lacks the shot creating skills to put up 20-25 shots a game at his current level. There's flashes and he clearly can create offense out of nothing at times but it's no like he is out there just getting to his spots at ease.

He looks more natural as a scorer, but there is not another playmaker on the team at his level so he has to also look to run point. Ingram is a solid playmaker but he makes simple passes. Biggest issue for the Lakers is when they need a bucket and the defenses take away what they are trying to do on offense, it becomes stagnant and they rely on Lou or Nick who are just looking for their shots. Ideally, Russell can be the guy that can either create for himself or for another guy down the stretch but right now he's struggling to do both. Rather have him develop as a passer first cause he's a more natural scorer.
