Nick's been 2-16 with 7 pts total in the past 2 Laker wins.

He has a +/- of +37 over those 2 games.

I think teams are really starting to gameplan for him now. Looks haven't been clean the last couple games but as a result when he's on the floor he's still drawing enough attention that D'Lo/Randle/Ingram have an easier time getting into the paint.

I finally pulled the trigger on some Swaggy P shoes off ebay. I hate paying more than like $60 for shoes, but I really liked these and Swaggy has had a good year

Zoom out, and the numbers are even more impressive. Among guards and forwards, Young’s eFG percentage is the 40th-best mark ever. (Before his recent abysmal three-game stretch, he was 10th). Currently, he’s one of only four players all time to have an eFG above .590 while attempting six or more 3s a game. Young trails only 2015–16 Steph Curry and 2004–05 Damon Jones. (Sidenote: If you lower the attempt requirement to five 3s per game, Kyle Korver has three qualifying seasons. Kyle Korver is very good at shooting a basketball and is going to get more open looks than ever as the Cavs’ fourth option.)

In case you didn’t know, @NickSwagyP Young has hit 100 3-pointers this season at a .429 3P% clip. #LakeShow 👌

Great game tonight by Nick. He shot the ball well and his defensive intensity in the second half was impressive.

Nick Young is the leader of this team imo.

And our best perimeter defender.

If these are true, it's no wonder we are a terrible team.

Good to see him regain his form on offense. But old (bad) Nick has returned on defense.

I do agree he has been our best perimeter defender but if he's the leader of the team and someone can prove it I will stop being a Laker fan lol.

I don't think we watched the same game. He was doubling on the right side of the paint and then hustling back to the left side of the paint to cover his man. He was out best perimeter defender by far.

He's been bad on defense for a long while now. But his defense in the 4th was better. You can tell he's sick of the losing, and he was mad at his teammates (the starters) in the 3rd for not playing any. It's probably one reason why he got back into the game.

You know there is something wrong with the starters when Nick is the one who's pissed at missed defensive assignments.

Just like Kobe he is living on his reputation lately but tonight we couldn't complain about it.

I'm glad Nick was okay after getting dinged up last night.

Nick had an all-around good game and played team ball for the most part.
He battled PG13 hard and he scored 15 points on 5 treys. He was +15 (+/-).

NBA METRICS 101: IDENTIFYING THE NBA'S 10 BEST SHOOTERS

Nick is on the list.
Quote:
Everything from 10 feet and beyond matters, and objectivity reigns supreme in these rankings, which count down to the league's paragon of jump-shooting volume and efficiency this season.

Those last two words are vital, because we're only interested in what's happened during the first half of the 2016-17 campaign. Anything earlier is irrelevant, regardless of any incongruities between reputation and actual production.
