He really is the perfect fit. The shocker is how little they gave up for him. Now they'll probably go after a backup point guard.

Was it so little? They are getting a protected 1st. Obviously smart move for the Cavs, but Korver is a soon to 36 year old. And soon to be a free agent. Hawks getting a 1st rounder for him when this could be his last few months with the team isn't too bad.

It is probably the best deal they could do for him.

That said, the Cavs are giving up a late round pick who, based on the typical player at that spot, won't amount to anything.

But you have a good point.

It depends on the protection on the pick, it could be a nice deal or it could be virtually nothing.

If anybody is wondering why the league has become less interesting this year they should just look at the 2 teams receiving all the talent at the expense of all others.

35 yo rentals, really only have much use in the arms race of superpowers.

Sucks for Mike Dunleavy. He probably signed with the Cavs in order to ring-chase. But now, he was traded for a similar but better player in Korver.

Dunleavy didn't sign with the Cavs; the Bulls traded him to the Cavs for a second round pick to make cap space to sign Wade.
