Such a colorless, bland, unimaginative and uninformative game thread.

Sigh

/End awesome game thread streak.

It could get ugly but a very good learning experience either way.

Yeah. He's probably getting schooled.

Ingram could be another Kahwi Leonard some day, right now that's a heck of a tall order for young BI.

DLO/Parker - That might be more of a contest. Any 20 year old PG coming close to even with Parker would be amazing though.

Randle/Aldridge - again - tall order.

This does not look like an easy game.

If only we had a holocaust cloak. Stick Mozgov on a wheelbarrow, light it up and scare em' to death.

Spurs love it when teams resort to isolation basketball. It means they've won. Just like the third quarter of the last game, I feel like this game will get out of hand the moment players start going 1 on 1. That's how slim the margin for error is against an upper echelon team like the Spurs. I'm looking at Lou in particular because Clarkson has shown progress in swinging the ball lately.

I'd be happy if they keep the loss <10 points, but not holding my breath for that to happen.

I think that's a safe bet. Even when the Spurs are controlling a game it seems like the score remains within 5-10. I wouldnt be surprised if they do it purposely for training purposes. That being said, they're very beatable if the Lakers get hot from outside.

Randle needs to attack. Neither Pau or Aldridge (assuming Pop plays both, he might rest one like he did Aldridge last game) can keep up with him. And Moz pick and pop should be open all day long if Pau is on him. Pau doesn't have he foot speed to recover to any big who can shoot these days.

Lakers prepared for Spurs by looking inward

Quote:
Walton understood he was more likely to start 4-39 instead of 39-4, as he did last season as Golden State's interim coach, but would not be deterred by the daunting task ahead.
He inherited a team that had won 65 games over three seasons, one searching for its identity in a post-Kobe Bryant world. Molding this young roster – four of his top five rotation players are under 25 – into a playoff contender would require the patience of a monk.
And then his team opened the season with an exhilarating win over the Rockets. Through 20 games they were .500 and treading water in the Western Conference playoff race.
Since then Walton’s greenhorns have dropped 17 of 22 games, falling to No. 12 in the West. It was not a wholly unexpected occurrence.
“The path to success isn’t always a straight line,” said Walton, sounding suspiciously Zen. “You’re going to have some ups, some downs, some right turns, left turns, and eventually you get there.”
There is no timetable on eventually, but Walton does have a tantalizing stable of talent in L.A.

What's this I hear that Brandon might be hurt? (Bresnahan was saying something about it on Sportsnet but I caught the tail end of him speaking.)

I read in the Ingram thread that he fell on his wrist in practice. He's getting Xrays wich if they are negative he should play.

If we beat the Spurs we will have beaten all 4 of the top seeds, which doesn't mean (bleep) now but it shows the direction our core is headed.

Brandon Ingram will play tonight. The X-Rays on his left wrist were negative.
