NBA’s 2017 London game to feature Pacers and Nuggets
The NBA has held regular-season games in London the last four years.
The league isn’t exiting England now.
Pacers release:
“Indiana Pacers will travel to London, England to face the Denver Nuggets for a regular season game to be played at The O2 on January 12, 2017.”
“The game will be designated as a home game for the Nuggets.”
This could be a solid matchup.
The Pacers had a highly touted offseason, trading for Jeff Teague and Thaddeus Young. Both players should fit better with the up-tempo style Larry Bird wants to play. And, of course, Paul George will be the best player on the floor.
The Nuggets had a quieter summer, but they nailed the draft with Jamal Murray, Juancho Hernangomez, Malik Beasley and Petr Cornelie. Add that to a young core that already includes Nikola Jokic, Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris and Jusuf Nurkic, and Denver is cooking. Veterans Danilo Gallinari,Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and Will Barton allow the possibility of a quick rise. With Michael Malone coaching, it seems like only a matter of time.
Both teams should be intriguing in January — gaining chemistry and still in the playoff hunt.

How is it fair for the Nuggets to get one fewer home game than everyone else? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

It is a home game so it isn't one fewer. And the home team gets game revenue, which might be more than if it were played in Denver. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
The Pacers have a 5 game win streak which is great and is surprisingly a hopeful sign the Pacers are gelling but they don't play till Thursday and I'm not sure how this layover is going to affect them.

Why do you do this sort of thing in literally every thread? Are you trolling or are you genuinely just this dense?
The obvious intent of my question was to ask why the Nuggets should only get forty games in their home arena-- in Denver-- when this puts them at a disadvantage compared to every other team's forty-one games. Especially since they are only one game back in the loss column from the 8th seed. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

League isn't interested in fairness, they are interested in maximizing revenue and selling the game overseas. I wouldn't be surprised to see more regular season NBA games in the future held overseas, my bet is China will probably be one of those destinations, most likely in Shanghai considering they held Laker pre-season games there in the past. AEG has an arena there as well.
The NBA also had a regular season game in Mexico City last year I believe as well....if anything they will probably expand the schedule considering Adam Silver is trying to expand the game beyond what David Stern has done.

I'm purely speculating but there's probably a good chance that the two teams are compensated for taking one on the chin so to speak. _________________ KOBE
They should have traded PG and build around Myles Turner, the Pacers made moves out of desperation to appease there superstar player, but they are not gonna do anything come playoff time unless they some how luck out and play some mediocre team in the 1st round.
There approach is reminding me of the Knicks situation with Melo, instead of going to a full rebuild they continue to stock pile veterans that won't lead them anywhere.
