At the time, it was not even a reach since we were 10-10, but many of the national media responded as if they were young and didn't know any better....because obviously the Lakers only won 17 games last year. I don't follow the NBA Twitter feed so I don't know how accurate this is. But assuming it's true I can think of another explanation.embiid has been playing great, with some people even suggesting he might be an All-Star this year. Our guys haven't been playing that great. This kind of statement is more acceptable coming from a star, then from young guys who are struggling to prove their place in the league |
When I said "NBA Twitter", I was referring to the group of somewhat known NBA talking heads that have a loud voice on twitter....not the NBA official account |

To be honest, they should, I think they have finally woken up, they have to much talent not to get in, we need another off season of long hard look of evaluation with players and the team before we are ready to become a playoff team.
Btw I think we are very close to becoming a playoff team, but it's gonna take a little bit of time, as long as the season ends with the young players making solid strides I will be happy.
We do need to get some good pieces in the summer though. |

Last night was the dagger. Loss to the King at home should not happen.
7 games out.
We need to be more realistic going forward. The season is long and arduous. Even if we started strong, we do not have the players to sustain it over a long season.
Since December, we are 9-28.
Over the last few years, Jim Buss has made these public comments about the team being in a "dynamite" position or that we will contend this year with signing of new players, etc.
It is basically "Fool's Gold".
We are better than last year but still far from even making the playoffs. |
