Paul George and Jimmy Butler should be at the top of the list as far as trades. I'd be willing to trade a young player and a pick for either player.

Umm. Indy isn't trading PG13, and Chicago would want DLO and Ingram (we don't have a pick until 2021).

With how bad we're playing we might just keep the pick. I'm not ruling anything out.

Doubt that's going to happen. Lakers seem to be playing the long game with DLO/Ingram/Jules (and other young guys).

I'm sure there will come a time where a trade for a star may arise, but doubtful this summer.

This is the CBS Sports trade deadline analysis of Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers
STAND PAT. It's too soon to make decisions about the core. Yes, it's worrisome that none of them seem like can't-miss prospects, and yes, their defense is a rotted wooden barrel slowly sinking into tar pits that are on fire, but there's still optimism. It's really Year One of the true rebuild, and guys have had flashes of good play. If someone wants Luol Deng , field the offers, but there's no reason for extended talks about major changes. Yet. -- Matt Moore

I'd agree with this. None of the young guys are playing well enough that we'd get high value for them, and no reason to move guys in a fire sale.

I'd trade the veterans if we got a decent offer, but no one on the roster strikes me as having a lot of value unless a team in dire need happens to fall in love with Nick or Lou, but I don't see that happening.

There should be a trade bet contest, the poster who bets on the Lakers making a trade gets a 100 dollar donation if the team ends up making a move.

Nick or Lou is more valuable to the Lakers than to another team. I doubt they are going anywhere. Maybe Tarik if they are confident with Zu. Or Calderon if somebody is dumping a non-expiring.

Lou in the summer is more likely due to the fear of losing him for nothing next year.

A combination of Simmons and Rubio would be tricky to make work since both aren't that strong as three point shooters.

The three Point Guards in the trade are Calderon, Jones and Rubio. The Timberwolves send out the best two in Rubio and Jones while ending up with the worst in Calderon.

I'd say anyone who looks at this proposal would instantly know it came from a Lakers fan, and definitely not a 76ers fan

I think Lou has a good chance of staying since he has another year on his contract at a good rate and has played exceptionally well. Nick will opt out this Summer though and I can't imagine the Lakers wanting to pay him a big money extension given what happened after they re-upped him three years ago. So I'd guess Nick gets moved if there are any fair offers for him.

Who would do it knowing that Nick will opt out?

Lou having another year (at a cheap 7m) is a reason why he probably should be shopped first. Teams don't want a guy like Swaggy who will opt out and become much more expensive. At least with Lou, you can have a playoff run with him and then have him for another year.

Funny enougn this benefits the Sixers most, though. If we waive our top 3 protection, that gives them practically 3 lottery picks next year. (Our pick, theirs/Sac's, and Simmons). Minnesota is grooming Dunn to be their starting guard and need a vet like Calderon as well as getting their man in Okafor. As for the Lakers we get more young assest to develop/trade because we most likely lose this year's lottery pick.

Trade Lou for a 1st round pick

Try to buy low and get KJ Mcdaniels as well

See if anyone wants MOZGOV

Or if you can get anything for Deng - if not, keep him

Start Zu

Get top 3 pick

I agree, with the votes of Laker nation I could see DLO and possibly Ingram making the all star game.

Once they actually deserve it and merit it by play. I could see Jules being a possible one too. But now? None are near it at all.

I think he got 0 votes from the media, so that saved the NBA from that fiasco.

I'd love to get Nurkic.

DEN is said to surely be trading him

Would you guys rather get a mid/late 1st for Lou or a young player like Nurkic or Stanley Johnson?

I'd rather go with Zubac.
