He's turning himself into a nice trade asset. |

Unless they unload on a RFA, the easy answer is to keep Black. The UFA market really sucks. |
Or a UFA. they will likely know by the time his Non guaranteed date comes around. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Black's guarantee date was intentionally made late enough that we should already know if we will be using the max slot. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

And why this newfound attitude for the Lakers when they went for Deng and moz? For better or worse I see them spending that cap space this summer. What exactly would we be saving up for anyways on 2018. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Well if they take Black's option and re-sign Young they will be spending cap space. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Unless they go after a RFA, there isn't any player in their market range that would be worth pursuing. You know what you will get with Young and Black. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Lou/Black/Top 3 pick would be a pretty good offer.. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

That's true, but if we lose our 1st round draft pick and finish near the bottom of the West again, I don't think the front office will just stay status quo and bring back the same team from this year. |

Here's our team's age:
Ingram 19
Zubs 19
DLo 20
Julius 22
JC 24
LNJ 24
Tarik 25
TRob 25
Lou Will 30
Moz 30
Nick 31
Deng 31
Huertas 33
Calderon 35
MWP 37
Lou Will, Nick are the ? marks.
Huertas/Calerdon/MWP probably won't be back.
Deng/Moz are locked in.
25 and under guys are basically locked down unless TRob wants more PT and gets a better offer.
So that's basically about 5-6 spots we'll have available to play with. |

I'm not in favor of trading one of the few defenders that we have, even if there is a position minutes crunch. Find a way to unload one of the vets for wing depth - Lou probably the most realistic option to have demand from another team. |

Congrats Tarik! With his hectic schedule this had to be a complicated task. Very wise move, TB is planning for his future. |

Tarik put in some hard work tonight!
He's not the most talented guy on the court but he gives 100% effort and hustle all the time.
He recorded a double-double (13 points - 5-6 FG, 11 rebounds). He played decent defensively too (+2). |

As I said in another thread, he has been our best C this season. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Black has really made a difference in the starting lineup over JR in my opinion. Defense and the ability to finish strong at the rim really helps. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Yes. He's been outplaying Julius Randle the last few month or so.
And he's doing great on the starting lineup. |

Tarik Black Learned More From Kobe Bryant Than Just Basketball
Quote: | “We sat on the plane one time and just talked about family and how they ask for money. We talked about how to set my family up for success. We talked about business. We talked about investments. He opened my eyes to investments and handling money. He said on the plane one time he was like, ‘Tell me about your bank accounts.’ You know he doesn’t beat around the bush. He was like, ‘You need to learn about this stuff.’ I read. He got me some books that I read all the time. He was like, ‘You need to start reading books, learning.’ ” |
