| Sad ... he also never had the impactful career I thought he was capable of ... ten straight seasons of 17+ PPG and 5.5+ RPG never felt so empty. On the silver living front, however, he'll probably wrap-up his career in his very early 30s with right around $120MM in NBA salaries, and that's not too shabby ... |

| That absolutely sucks for him, especially since he had the option to opt out and get paid this summer. But he can at least opt in now to the final year and rehab on the Kings' dime. |

That was hard to watch. Hopefully one day achilles tears will become relatively minor injuries like ACLs.
(I know a torn ACL is frickin' major but it isn't the death sentence it used to be for athletes.) |

He was having a nice season too, and Sacramento was shaping up to be less of a "basketball hell" finally. I was real bummed to hear about this.
