Happy for Zu - he keeps looking like a difference maker. Inexperience notwithstanding.
Wow what a lame imitation of the Laker girls. |

While I'm not willing to go that far, I will admit that it wouldn't totally surprise me if he ends up being the best of all these players. It really wouldn't. But if he is, that's not good news for us, let's be honest. |

That was goaltending but it didn't matter.
Another 0 point performance from Ingram, 2nd in a row. |

Crappy way to punctuate it at the end. Really don't like anything about Utah. Spent too much time there.
Gordon Heyward - just remember - we can free you from that place. |

I cant believe Luke escapes outrage with his starting lineups....pitchforks would be out for Byron if he refused to start the best players |

Bad drafting, and bad free agent signings doesn't look good for the future. At least we have Zubac! |

I said earlier in the year maybe send Ingram down to the D league for some experience. It sure helped Zubac. |

I disagree about the drafting. And Lou's not a bad FA pickup for the price.
Deng, Moz, uh, not so good. |

Yeah that's what I was thinking throughout the 4th quarter. Lakers didn't fold, they stayed in reach until the last minute or so. |

Drafting has actually been great. Zu, Larry and Clarkson were all steals...randle has performed well for where he was drafted, DLO is better than Mudiay or Okafor and not too many saw Porzi coming and Ingram has only played half a season.
Free agency...Black was a great move, Lou has way outperformed his contract. Now Deng and Moz, I have issues. Deng was overpaid by 4 milion a year and given 1 year too many. I understand that we had to overpay because nobody wanted to come and Deng does have a track record of being solid so I can almost overlook it. Mosgov has been a disaster and his contract is brutal. To give that much money to a journeyman center who is below average defensive and on the boards is a crime. I understand Walton may have wanted him, but this was a huge mistake from the FO and it's a big enough error to warrant a FO change IMO. There is no way the things are going that Mosgov isn't stretched...I wouldn't be surprised actually to see both mosgov and deng stretched at the end of 17-18 when Paul George and Cousins become available. |

Lou has been flat-out fantastic for $7MM per season. He's 20th in the NBA in PER, 12th in free throw attempts, and top 20 in true shooting %. In short, he efficiently scores points. I realize his warts, but for that price, he's been a home run. My hope is that we can turn him into an exciting young prospect or a nice draft pick or two. |
