The Raiders will file relocation papers to move from Oakland to Las Vegas, according to sources familiar with their thinking. After a year of planning, debate, and bold action, after many years of a sub-par stadium option in Oakland, the Raiders have made a firm decision on their future.
This one is probably the least surprising move since they have all the financing already approved. What is funny is that there will probably be a lot of Raider fans from LA making the trip to Vegas which is a lot closer than Oakland.
Terrble choice vegas cant fill a football stadium... and especially not with raider fans...
I disagree man. Raider fans travel well. All the Southland Raiders fans are going to make that trip imo.
There will be more fans at the Raiders games than the Chargers games.....Just look at what happened at the Chargers-Raiders games at Qualcomm. Also most of the people traveling to Vegas on the weekends are from LA, it really won't be a problem.

As long as they stay out of LA, it's fine. Weird that all of a sudden Vegas goes from 0 teams to 2.
Same with LA but we got two disasters. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

being a Raider fan, I wish they could have gotten a new stadium in Oakland but I'm excited about the move to Vegas. I've never been to an NFL game so this will be nice. My girlfriend has family in Vegas (that are also Raider fans, coincidentally) so that saves us money whenever we drive up there.

Vegas is perfect for the Raiders. Cheesy, overrated and a waste of money. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

I called at the beginning of the season that they were playoff bound. It's just unfortunate Carr got hurt. They should be playing today.
Well, Pittsburgh prob would've given us a hard time, but we would've had a shot.
Always said we were a year ahead of schedule and that we probably weren't winning this year. But damn, it would've been nice to go out with our stud qb as opposed to our 3rd stringer who spent the entire year on the scout team
Really a wasted opportunity NFL couldn't get Raiders back to LA...regardless Vegas here I come! _________________ Back to Back Yeah, Yeah...and you know that!

Really hope there's an 11th hour deal to keep em in Oakland as that's where they belong.
But, if not, I'll still be rolling with them. Been a fan for 25 years...won't be jumping ship now.
Though, ideally, they'd be the ones in LA over the freakin' Chargers.
Flights are pretty cheap on Southwest to Vegas; there will be fans. There are Raiders fans everywhere lol.
True, but think of all the scorned Oakland fans who won't follow the team after they leave for the second time.
Plus, I think there's going to be much more away team fans attending as well. Just think if you're in a cold east-coast city and your team is playing in Vegas. More people will try to make it a Vegas weekend while attending the game.
No doubt Raider fans will represent, but I really wish they could've just got something done in Oakland.
Just when the team had finally turned it around they're leaving again. Oakland becomes the first city to lose a pro sports franchise twice. I wonder if they'll also become the first city to lose a pro sports franchise twice and see the team win a championship in the new city. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby.
