I really like Zubac....but getting too high on him is probably going to lead to some level of disappointment...his tendencies are just now being included in scouting reports...once that file gets thicker, teams will begin to try to take his preferences away...there could be some ups and downs as he adjusts |

He got screwed out of several great challenges too. Refs gave him no respect. |
His problem on those is that he's not going up square - he always reaches with his right hand, which turns his body & shoulder into the offensive player. So, no...the refs won't give him verticality when he does that _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

Wow - not far from a triple double for DLO too.
What a great game! |

Dear Basketball Gods,
I would like to thank you for the safe and speedy recovery of DLO. Thank you for bringing back our one true winner, a player with ice in his veins, a player who has basketball IQ (unlike a lot of players on our team). Most of all thank you for making our team watchable again |

still got 31 games to go, too
27 wins is looking like a good estimate
I was hoping for 32 or so, but injuries killed that hope _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

that was awesome, I wasn't sure the lakers had that in them after the past 2 months of watching them lose mentally to almost every team.
With DLO and Zubac playing significant minutes, we look like a different team....our overall floor IQ is much improved and everything just looks more organized.
Great win despite terrible play tonight from Deng, Clarkson, Nance and BI. I'm not worried about BI, dude is just too thin to do anything consistently going towards the rim and his jump shot seems to just come and go...he will figure it out in a year or two.
With Zubac, I'm not sure how long Walton feels like he needs to start Mosgov because of contract/rotations/seniority but Zubac is pretty decent. Put 20 lbs on him, a beard and 2-3 years in the league and the guy could be a Marc Gasol like guy for us in the middle. He's my favorite laker right now... |

If Jokich had played, do we still win? |

Spectrum just posted a stat that lakers are 5-10 in January and that could easily be 7-8 or even 6-9. Seems like outside that nightmare December with injuries playing a role, 32 might have been attainable just based on the results from November and January. |

This was one of my favorite wins because Russell and Zubac were key performers. One of Russell's most mature games. Really happy with the win and more importantly how it happened. Keep Zu and Russell on the floor! |

Gotta hand it to:
Zubac - turned the game around - WOW what an impact player for a 19 year old second round pick. Sure he's raw and inexperienced, but you just can't teach turning a game around!!
DLO - the Laker offense looks SO much better when he's out there. And with Zubac setting screens and actually catching the ball? Finally paired up with DLO?? Are you kidding me??? 22 points AND 10 assists.
Lou Williams - man just keeps scoring and scoring. His shot may disappear on a game or two, but it doesn't go missing for a week at a time like it does for the youngsters. He also had some interesting dishes to Zu tonight. There's a vet.
Nick Young - defense and scoring. And JUST enough lift to get that dunk with the spotlight on him real bright... |

For 19 year olds, you just want to see flashes of what they can become. You're right that we shouldn't expect consistency as scouting reports begin to circulate. Still it's great to see the versatility and natural feel that Zu has for the game. And no hesitation on his open jumpshots! He just fits like a glove.
Another 2nd round gem by the FO. They've been excellent in the draft these last few years. |

What a great game! |
This was his best game of the season imo. And it's not because of the stats but just the style he played. It was almost a quiet game the way he just played in the flow and under control. Looked like a veteran. And he didn't just depend entirely on the high screen 3-point shot like he's done in the past. He was more methodical and got closer to the basket.
Like Luke said, he's finding that balance between setting guys up and scoring. He was already improving on it before the injury, but it's good to see he hasn't lost that momentum |

The Russell last night is the one the lakers desperately need. Hopefully he realizes how valuable he was with the way he played. Very efficient, focused and great catalyst. |
