DLO played a couple 30 plus minute games recently; I think Luke was giving DLO a light duty day, and handing some extra PT to Clarkson because it was a blowout and he could. Lou's minutes were typical Lou minutes. It was Nance, BI and Clarkson who got tons of time, and if anything Nance would be the one on a minute restriction. Obvious that's not the case.

Great game. Kudos to Walton for finally moving deng out of the starting lineup and dnp'ing moscrap.

I don't care if those guys are making $30MM a piece for each of them, both have played terrible almost all season and neither compliment our young core. Disasterous signings, glad to see that we may have swallowed our pride and played our best players...not our biggest contracts.

Btw, the Knicks are sloooooow and lazy.

I missed 2+ quarters, was it his play? Maybe he was "immature" off the court in NYC?

Carmelo looks like an accurate shooting lead anchor out there for the Knicks.

I mean, the kind of past-his-prime lead anchor that can put up magnificent stats and keep the entire team stuck in place near the bottom for as long as he plays. Yes he can score, but the whole team slows down to a crawl, without any real defense to compensate. I didn't see a whole lot of enthusiasm out there from Rose, Jennings, or the other Knicks. But Carmelo's big money. Porzi aside, sucks to be a Knicks fan right now.

And I'm stuck with NBATV and can't see these post games. What was Luke's criticism of DLO?

Luke really Byroning up his handling of DLO. Wonder if Bshaw is infecting him with these thoughts.

At least we won.

Just glanced at the DLO thread. Answers there.

Criticism was not pushing the pace harder, but had praise too for passing and decisions.

Rumor tweet was DLO told Luke the knee and calf were sore so Luke held him to light minutes.

If true - smart decision.

He was really positive about everyone, and they asked him about how well DLO played tonight. Luke cringed a bit and said "well, I wish he would have pushed it a little more."

Nothing serious, but I thought DLO played well. So, I'm a bit confused.

Nice. Sounds like it was luke and staff just being cautious. DLO has been good since he came back from injury.

Would make sense if true. Then, good decision by Luke.

Watch how many people start complaining about Russell's minutes instead.

And they have the right to complain.

Yeah they complained about Randle and then found out he had pneumonia and now complain about DLO and fined out his knee and calf were bothering him. But you are correct, they have the right to look like an ass.

Some strong irony here VLF...

I mostly watch to see the young guys. Watching Lou dominate the ball for extensive stretches is like torture. He's not a bad player, but just don't enjoy him at all. Can't wait until he's traded.

I like the Black / Zubac / Nance rotation at center way better than the Mosgov / Black / Randle rotation. Better on both ends of the floor.

I would also like to see the young guys play more. However, I like Lou... it's Deng that bores me. More Zubac please.

Lou has been awesome this year. I admit last season was difficult to watch him but he's been 6MOY this year. I get that half the fanbase is in tank mode, including myself, but can't blame the players for trying to win. If we were holding onto that 8th seed right now, Lou would be a hero. I'd like to see Luke just dial down his minutes this last half of the season.
