I'm sure the Lakers know they have no chance at Lonzo Ball unless they go full tank while trading some of the vets. |

Full tank? They have the third-worst record in the league - they may catch the Suns for 2nd worst though I don't think they do. Not catching the Nets regardless - all without going "full tank" _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

Can they keep up the pace with the vets getting PT? Let's keep in mind that if it wasn't for bonehead melt downs we will be sitting at a record far from the tanathon standings. |

Hmm, last check the Lakers are losing with their vets, pretty regularly _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

It's not about keeping any kind of a pace. The better question is can the Nets even catch up to our 18 wins. The answer a NO. When you have a few "meltdowns" that can be chalked up to a bad game here and there. When it happens all season, that's who they are. _________________ KOBE |

These vets can eventually help us win more at a higher rate especially with schedule getting light after the ASB. |

So when the Lakers sat Mozgov and benched Deng they torched the Knicks - that seems to counter that theory _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

That just means we have relevant young players. |

So if trading the veterans means more time for relevant young players, wouldn't by that logic, the chances the Lakers win go up? _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

That depends if they are progressing at a solid rate. |

Honestly, I get Coach Nick did not think DLo and Ball would be a good fit, but I never felt he was 100% committed to that thought or what was really driving his opinion. Did I miss something in his explanation?
Also, was the two UCLA guys scared to ask him about DLo and Fultz? |

The topic was Ball - and Nick didn't like the fit with DLo, Ingram and Randle _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

It might work, but after awhile Ball might emerge as the better point. Its all about killer attitude, and i think Ball has more, assuming his game translates to the pro's. I absolutely envy what is going on in Boston with Thomas and Smart, we need some of that.... |

Ball has absolutely no mid-range game, and I say this as a lifelong UCLA fan. Unless he can figure out how to attack the paint consistently - whether with jams or lay-ups or pull-ups or teardrop shots - his first few years in the league will be infinitely tougher than college. |
