RIP Al Jarreau. Lovely voice. Most people will probably remember him from the theme to Moonlighting, lol.

Yeah, amazingly smooth and distinctive voice. I still remember him on SCTV, with a spoof of "The Jazz Singer", only Al Jarreau wants to be a cantor, despite his father pushing him to be a jazz singer.

there was an article a few days ago, that he announced he was no longer going to tour, I guess he knew something...

Yes, there was that Moonlighting theme, and many might remember his song "We're In This Love Together", but my favorite of his was "After All", probably because it was 1984 and it would still get airplay on local stations like KOST quite a bit in the mid-to-late 80's, and I was just old enough to remember hearing it in the car. Really smooth voice, like ap said.
