I was just wondering what everyone thought about three recent Lakers Centers.
Which do you think the Lakers would have been better off with this season:
1. Mozgov with his blown dunks and Zillion dollar 4 year contract. He doesn't really finish very well under the basket, can hit some mid range shots. His rim protection has been kind of overrated I think. Of course he is an expert at Verticality. Mozgov has been the anchor of another dismal defensive team.
2. Hibbert with his falling down several times a game. His expensive contract and his overrated rim protection. Hibbert anchored another poor defensive team and the worst team in Laker history. Another expert at Verticality.
3. Sacre, at least he was a banger and hustled. He had a cheap contract. At least he could hit some mid range shots. Could the savings on his contract have been better used elsewhere?
Would Sacre with his cheap contract have helped the Laker cause longer term? I was originally hopeful for Mozgov but I'm kind of disappointed and feel he definitely wasn't worth the money.
Now with Mozgov the Lakers used up a lot of their spending money. |

Moz is the best of the 3, but obviously his salary length sucks. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Roy Hibbert with the 1y/5M deal he got. Last time I looked his numbers were actually more productive than Moz _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' I agree, at least of recent memory!
If I think too hard, I might say Samiki Walker is up there.. _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Hibbert was done before he got here.
Sacre was a third stringer on third string minutes and money.
Mozgov is a third stringer on second string minutes and starter money. |

Continuity? He's been here a few months, and is already 3rd string... |

Sarcasm. That's all we heard from people defending the Mozgov signing this summer. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

Well, at least you know now how valuable Sacre was for his money. _________________ .

Should have absorbed Bogut. No doubt GS would have helped Luke out like that and he actually makes a difference in defensive stats and team identity.
Mozzy is literally just big, tries hard, and is athletic enough to get by.
Sacre didn't belong in the league and that's been proven.
Hibbert is on his way there. Could see him out after this year or in a bonafind 15th man spot. |

by the time he became a Laker which was the end of that contract....his knees have failed him, but it was not as much of an overpay when he was @ his peak in Portland/Miami. |
