Dude did a lot for the Lakers. Took us over the top and brought us back to perennial championship glory. Since then his image to a lot of lakers fans has been tarnished. Guy is at a low right now, having split with Jeanie and continued riding the Knicks into the ground. You guys see that picture of him riding the bus this week? lol

He deserves to be recognized among the Kobes and Shaqs in my opinion. Statue sitting on a high chair, Phil night, etc. Think it'll ever happen?

That ship has sailed, probably not with Jim around (or Jeanie). The only buss Phil will be dealing with is the M57 bus.

Phil's got $12 million a year for watching basketball games, having a GM run the day to day, almost never having to travel and oh, for the fun of it, tweet and instigate wars with Lebron, Melo and all the divas of the current NBA era. From what I've read up on the subject, even the good moves he has made like mke few good draft picks from Spain, it ws someone else doing the dirty work scouting for him. Essentially the guy has robbed Dolan.

You all think the dude is sitting there upset somewhere? Why because he's seen as a failure as an executive and the NY crowd hates him?

Again, the guy makes $12 million a year. He's literally stealing money. Trust me, if there's one thing I know, Phil is having a giant kick out of this. He could care less about what people think or say about him. I have to say I couldn't believe he made that tweet about Melo regrding Ding's column, but it's just further evidence to me that he doesn't give two hoots about anyone but PJ.

If he wanted Jeannie so bad, he would have quit his Knicks job. Phil has always been narcassistic, selfish and about self preservance. Don't feel bad for him. The guy is making $12 million a year, and despite a piss poor record was given assurance by Dolan that he will get two more years at 12 million. Only in NY.

Seriously, I can't feel bad for someone who has shown to be average at best at their job, more people would say below average, and then gets paid 6 times the salary. Basically Dolan pays him 6 times what most people in his line of work make. Why? Phil takes the heat. So I think Phil knows exactly what he's getting and he's more than happy with it, otherwise he wouldn't want to stick around and collect the cheques.

Riley was just as beloved, if not more so, as Phil and I don't think he's been honored.

A statue is probably over the top but honoring him at some point with a "Phil Jackson Night" sounds just fine.

And Sharman and Bertka.
And Dr. Buss for that matter.

Don't worry about Phil, after his failure in NY comes to an end, he will come out with a book throwing everyone under the bus. All of Phil's personal cheerleaders in the media will have everyone singing his praises once again.

He should have his suit retired but that's probably unlikely considering he split from Jeanie and sparred with Jim. That having been said, Shaq eventually got his jersey retired. Phil might also get something ceremonious at some point, after all he did bring 5 titles and 7 finals appearances in his time here.

Can we lets say put the jersey in Staples with his name and number 5....I think it would be great. He won 5 chips with us and he is the greatest coach ever. I think he deserve it.

Phil Jackson looks pretty ordinary when he doesn't have the best talent.

And why not honor Jeanie? She'd make a great statue!

She's the only one I seen naked...lol
