I'd rather ease the big with a history of foot and knee issues in to the NBA game like we have already been doing Magic, thanks very much however for your buzz words, I mean input.

We eased him in the first half of the season. The last 20 games should be a good test to see how he performs with extended PT.

Or we could continue to ease him in and build him to that point like we've done with Brandon.

There's no rush. Nor should there be.

Like we have done with Brandon? Hasn't he played like the 2nd most minutes on the team despite clearly not being ready?

Just remember that this kid is 19 years old and new to America and serious basketball (a few games last season).

When he fixes his body he will be a beast. Fantastic work ethic, charisma, huge talent and a normal, humble guy. Great size, soft hands, mid-range jumper which can evolve to include 3's, good shot blocker, great feel for the game, high BBIQ and solid low post game.

He has only ONE serious weakness (besides inexperience and strength issues, which are just a matter of time until he fixes them): mobility. Obviously, that is not a good weakness to have in the NBA today, but if he can (and I believe he can) get that to some average level...wow, I don't even dare think about how good he can be.

He is definitely my favorite Laker right now, and I truly believe he is going to have an amazing career.

IMO he is already on the right track. He changes ends fast for being such a big guy and he is light on his feet.

A couple more seasons of conditioning will do wonders for him. He does not have to jump hight, but some additional agility would do wonders for his game.

I am not worried about injuries for him if he gets an increased work load since we have brought him along very slowly so far. I think he can easliy handle 25- 30 mpg from here on out.

Nice test for Zubac tonight going up vs Adams/Kanter/Gibson. Getting pushed around a lot on the glass/defense.

Just needs to put that on loop in the weight room over the summer. Looks like he can put on strength well with his frame.

11/6 on 55% shooting with 3 blocks in 25 minutes. Solid effort from the young fella, also gotta keep in mind that in terms of minutes this is one of his first few NBA games ever.

Played a great game tonight with Black struggling with foul trouble. Probably his best defensive game I've seen in a while, playing against a good offensive player in Kanter. Looking forward to seeing what the future has for Zu

Magic is even smarter than I thought if that's the case.

Cut the BS and start the youthcore. The future is here and now and trim the fat for assets.

I endorse all stated above....

I agree with both of you guys, but that would be almost unfair to the competition

Love this kid.
