After watching Melania through the last year plus, she has a better shot of turning straight men gay than she does turning gay men straight.

Yes, really.

Lets take a look what happens when hillary start channeling her inner bernie. All of a sudden the hillary fans were all for the bernie stuff they first thought was foolish and/or destructive.

She wasn't, and neither were we.

splashmtn wrote:
So there goes the dems side.

Now lets address the republicans side. We've seen that trickle down how many times? and how many times has it worked for the MAJORITY of americans? Uhhh. Like never.

Yep.

splashmtn wrote:
How great is it to de-regulate everything and to just let huge companies do as they please. they are bad enough as is. But lets give them more freedom to make money for themselves but not for the MAJORITY of American citizens. While also harming the air quality, ground water, etc.

You don't get the full extent of it. They don't want to deregulate everything. They just want to deregulate the stuff that keeps them from doing what they want. They want government regulation to keep the market from actually becoming competitive. As a right wing friend of mine likes to say (quite correctly), if government didn't exist, big business would create it.

So explain to me again. how is free college at your local Junior/City College a horrible thing? OR even up to state college? A lot of people need to remember when or ask a parent how much did state college cost back in the 70's. ask them how much did it cost to go to a local JC. Even if you adjust for inflation it wont add up to what we have now. shoot, i just checked some stats and to go to a cal state or UC has jumped in prices X3 since 1992. we know good and well most of us are not making X3 for the same jobs as someone in 1992.

Because we can't afford to do it. Bernie is big on spending massive amounts of money that we don't have. So Bernie tells us, don't worry, my programs will create so much growth that everything will be fine. That's voodoo economics, left wing style.

Not only that, but education has become a freaking racket because of government intervention in the form of guaranteed student loans. Because the government provided all of the "free" money, colleges figured out that they could jack up their tuition and make kids borrow it. Even worse, we got a whole industry of fake colleges (I'm a Phoenix!) handing out worthless degrees (Didn't Snaq get a Ph.D.?) that kids can hang on the wall of their parent's basement as they try to figure out how to pay off all of the debt.

So now you want government to get deeper into higher education? Pass.

splashmtn wrote:
you keep hearing these companies say we have a workforce that needs to either re-educate themselves or get an education for the first time.
but make sure to read that last article. speaks to this very thing of why bernie's ideas were not harmful at all. They were actually the opposite. anyone saying otherwise is either very very well off or is lying to themselves.

Or they might have a degree in economics from a real university, or maybe they know something about public finance.

splashmtn wrote:
See there is a difference between having an opinion where things could go either way. You're neither right nor wrong..just an opinion. Well when your choices were the gal that was flirting with wallstreet and our current "fake news" president flirting with russia. Yeah, i think anyone with a brain could say bernie in no way shape or form was worse than these two options. In fact he was better than both.

Yeah, and he got his ass kicked by the gal who was flirting with Wall Street. Don't whine to us about super-delegates, either. The biggest state he actually won was Michigan.

splashmtn wrote:
Lastly, when you realize the reason you trusted old man bern is because he wasnt just honest. You can be honest and a horrible person. you can be an honest mass murderer. Who cares if you're honest about it. It's because he sincerely cared about the MAJORITY of america and all of us knew it. Sure some were afraid of the word "socialist". But in reality we didnt even know what that meant nor did we do any real research on the things he was talking about to see if they were actually feasible. This is because he wasnt the most famous dem or he wasnt a republican.

Who is this "we" you are referring to? Anyway, most people recognize that Bernie is a man of good character. That doesn't mean that he is qualified to be president, and it doesn't mean that his policies aren't idiotic.

What Bernie did was capture a theme that appealed to a lot of people. Heck, the theme appealed to me. I never liked Hillary. The silver lining of the current fiasco (and it is only a slight silver lining) is that Hillary and the Democratic establishment got reminded that they don't own us.
you keep saying we can't afford it. are you sure about that? because we always find away to find money for wars. and we always find money for companies that are already bringing in billions, thru over blown tax breaks.

^^these are the kinds of people hillary was hanging with and doing speeches for. saying otherwise is lying to oneself.

again you had 3 choices.

1. choose the person that was hanging out with the people that helped crash the economy and still made out like fat rats while everyone else starved to death.

2. choose a billionaire(supposedly) that files for BR like its his tax return.
This same billionaire is the same type of person that is paying people to lobby congress nationally and lobbying people on the local level with money and kickbacks in order to get that next contract when in reality it should be up for a public bid so everyone has a shot to get it.

3. the guy who knew both #1 and #2 were the problem and those like them. this guy was willing to say what needed to be said and attempt with our help to do what needed to be done. which was take back some of our slices of american pie that was stolen from us by the people in that above article.

According to N.J.com, the University is being sued by a group of local residents who argue that Princeton owes property taxes on nearly 20 buildings not directly related to classroom or educational activities.

Princeton lawyer Bruce Afran told N.J.com, “Activities take place in those buildings, both profit-making activities and non-educational activities, that the state legislature never intended to be tax exempt. The result is that the university is not paying its fair share of taxes and thus homeowners in the borough are shouldering a larger burden than they ought to be....”

shoot those few ultra rich institutions could pay taxes and still not feel any different or change the way they operate. thats how much $$$ they have powering in. That tax money alone could make some JC's and state colleges free.

Here's the truth of how our economy works. That capitalism/free market mumbo jumbo is all talk. it's all about welfare. Either corporate or personal.

someone is getting the tax dollars that each citizen is supposed to put into the system. its either going to be the rich guy or the poor guy or the guy in the middle or some percentage of all 3 guys. the fight is to make a bit more fairly distributed to the middle and the poor. the rich guy is getting way too much.

Yes. Sanders' proposals would have increased the deficit by $18T over ten years. This includes his tax hikes.

http://www.taxpolicycenter.org/publications/analysis-senator-bernie-sanderss-tax-and-transfer-proposals

Of course, Sanders tells us that this wouldn't really happen because of all the growth his plan would create. Left wing voodoo economics.

Sadly for Bernie, most of us didn't see it that way. We saw #3 as a socialist with unrealistic, unworkable ideas that would lead to financial ruin while handing out freebies to the gullible.

Do you understand that property taxes don't go to the federal government? Anyway, if your solution to the education mess is to tax Ivy League schools so that we can provide free tuition at junior colleges, that's the sort of idea that drove millions of us to vote for Hillary over Bernie.

And to add to the nutjobbery over at the White House, Donald decided to make Alex Jones an unofficial adviser and "information" resource. The story is in the NYT but I don't feel like wasting a freebie on it.

Reminder: Alex Jones thinks Sandy Hook was a hoax and the dead kids were actors staging the whole thing so Obama could take everyone's guns. He's also a 9/11 truther.

Honestly, half the headlines in the news could be from The Onion at this point. Completely (bleep) up.

If your browser has an "incognito" mode or a "private window" mode you can open the link in that and it doesn't count on the amount of free articles you can read in a given time. I've tried it on Washington Post after I reached the limit. And it worked for me.

In other words, a closeted Trump supporter working deep inside hyper-liberal CNN just gave O'Keefe a ton of behind the scenes footage of "The Most Trusted Name In News."My guess is we're about to hear a bunch of establishment media puppets revealing their extreme hatred for the sitting President of the United States.

Remember that time CNN employees were laughing about Trump's plane crashing? If O'Keefe's release is anything along these lines, popcorn sales are about to go through the roof...

My popcorn is ready. Should be interesting.

ZeroHedge?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What the heck is a ZeroHedge

Lol. Is there and alternate link to the story as it appears to have been taken down.

I did however enjoy the slogan top right, "on a long enough timeline the survival rate for everyone drops to zero" quite inspiring.........

(Nobody seriously reads this crap right?)
