Too bad you can't fit the young players with shock collars and every time there's a stupid turnover it generates a shock

He actually has fairly nice form. Hope he finds himself on our team, and that if he does, we can lock him up on the cheap.

Man Luke was all over the place with his rotation tonight:

18 minutes for Zubac
13 minutes for Nance
17 minutes for TRob
13 minutes for Deng
13 minutes for Brewer

Ennis looked somewhat decent for his first outing as a Laker.

Dude has a .465 TS% in three seasons. Shooting is definitely an issue for him.

Luke's rotations are kinda wonky at times but man the whole frontcourt tonight really sucked, gotta find something that works. It might look like this until the new rotation stabilizes.

But he also hasn't played much. Sample size fallacy. Could he carve out a career as a nice role player for the Lakers? Still remains to be seen. Luke needs to give him consistent minutes.

Honestly I don't mind it, we get a fair look at all the young guys, and Deng is going to get his obligatory mins.

Yes. I agree. Wont matter as bench will still get too many minutes.

Honestly on nights like this, Black isn't going to help us much, he's been over matched against sized centers the last 2 games.

I'd give Mozgov a chance at backup 5 tbh.

Brewer should take all of Deng's minutes, and Ennis should be our backup 1 with Clarkson along side him at the 2.

We also got a small sample of what it looks like when Russell is out there with another passer / distributor in the 4th.

Horrible game, no defense or rebounding...and our PF position was total garbage.

I thought DLO played well and BI had a great game. Robison is funny to watch and Ennis looked OK for the few minutes he was out there.

We could play that game 100 times with our roster and maybe win 4-5 times, they have the talent, the system, the coach and all of the intangibles right now.

Would love to see JC get into the starting lineup, I haven't liked what I've seen from Nick since his chuck buddy lou got shipped out.

I'd go with this lineup next game

Starters:

D'Angelo Russell
Nick Young
Brandon Ingram
Julius Randle
Ivica Zubac

Bench:
Tyler Ennis
Jordan Clarkson
Corey Brewer
Larry Nance Jr.
Timofey Mozgov / Tarik Black / Thomas Robinson

Yes. I agree. Wont matter as bench will still get too many minutes.

We didn't see enough of Ennis to know if he's an energetic defender, but he did move the ball well
Brewer on the other hand, is giving 100% defense 100% of the time

with that (those) lineups you get guys that are going to give high effort, gonna defend hard, and gonna move the ball

I wouldn't mind Nick in there either, but he's kind of a spot up shooter and can't really create, so he seems to slow the offense down a little - although he's usually playing great D this year

I really do not think he can because we are limited on out offer if I read this correctly.

Quote:
The reason I don’t anticipate that he will be on the team next year is because next summer he is an unrestricted free agent and the Lakers can only offer him $2.6 million because the Rockets declined his fourth-year team option before the season started. He is sure to get paid more than that. If he doesn’t the Lakers will most likely want his salary off the books to make other moves anyway.

No Moz. Stick with Tariq as the primary backup. But overall, agree with this rotation.

This team has too many dumb players that need to be told where to go or what to do during play.
