No John Black this year.....hasn't he been in the actual room with the ping pong balls every year?

Maybe the new guy will this time net us the 1st pick.

The league still owes us a #1 pick for CP3

Your fingers must have slipped to 4 instead of 1. Common mistake.

Believe.

Late contender to the tank contest are the Knicks. Noah out for the year, Jennings getting waived.

They have Melo and Rose who can get hot and bring in clutch victories at any given game. Melo did just that against the Sixers a couple of days ago.

And they still have two more games against the Nets. Knicks aren't gonna do (bleep) in the tank standings.

Embid out indefinitely, and it looks like they won't play Simmons this year. Philly is all in the tank.

Very worried about Philly, though they did just beat the Wizards with the squad they will be using the rest of the year.

Yes, I just read that they're both out for the season. Noel's gone, too, so I guess it's Jah's opportunity to shine.

Didn't realize Embiid hasn't played in a month.

Oh Mr. Rocket fan, are you worried for us laker fans? Or just enjoying the fact that the Sixers could hurt our chances> I bet I know the answer to that.

Embiid had a MRI today. Simmons will not be back, and the Rockets will be ousted in round 2!

Knicks 5 ahead of us, real low shot of them taking a bottom 3 spot. Sixers could end up at the 4 spot passing the magic. Than hope that we fall out and they get our 4 or 5 pick and they get lucky with the ping pong balls and get the 1 or 2 pick.

They could be looking at Ball or Fultz along with Josh Jackson in the back court to join Saric/Embiid/and Simmons up front next year. Well if Embiid and Simmons can ever get there health set backs behind them...

We only have 22 games left. The Knicks are no worry as we will not win 5 games.

That upcoming Suns game looms large, extra large, our bizzaro world "game 7"....

My gut tells me we are beating this Charlotte team, sure hope my gut is wrong.

Orlando and those ever pesky champions of tanking Sixers team will also remain glued to our backs right to the end......

Charlotte has been playing well since the break. They'll get the job done tonight vs the Lou-less Lakers.

Knicks are 't a problem. They're 5 games ahead of LA in the win column and will still win a few more. I'm not worried about any team with 5 more wins than LA.

Which is why last night was a good night for the tank despite the Knicks. With Mavs and Wolves wins, the only teams left with less than five more wins than the Lakers are Philly and Orlando (3 more wins) and the Pels (4 more wins).

Those teams will also pick up some more wins, and I could see the Lakers only winning 1-2 more times, with 3-4 wins as the worst case, so the Lakers are in good shape vs those teams.

PHX is the only real competition, but PHX has been playing better than LA and has a lot more winnable games on their schedule, so I'm feeling pretty good about the #2 lotto position.

We're getting the #1 pick. We're owed for CP3, and the bill is due. Fultz or Ball time.

If Philly wins one more time before we do, they might be out of reach. Would be pretty much impossible to make up 4 wins with only 20 or so games to go.

I feel like we're either getting the first pick or we're losing it. I have a feeling the league is gonna give us the first pick though. Everyone wants the lakers to be good again.
