Should the Lakers look to nab any players that have been waived. My guess is that teams will waive some good quality players.
Brandon Jennings is one player being released from the Knicks, and I think he's worth a look from the Lakers standpoint. Home-town kid, still young and athletic although the injury did slow him down, he's still a more than capable scorer and facilitator, which is what this team needs.
I believe Russell, seems more suited as a 2 guard with this current roster. Now if you bring in Paul George in free agency and he plays the 2, then Russel can move back to the one. Either way you look at it Ennis and Jennings can be younger better versions of Calderon and Hueretas.
Larry Sanders should get a look as well, especially since Cleveland doesn't seem to want to go in his direction. But are there any other players the Lakers FO should consider from the wire for this year, or is it just another waste of time??? |

Brandon Jennings is immature. Getting waived by a bad Knicks deal on a cheap deal should tell you everything you need to know. He also had some negative comments about the DLO/Nick situation. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' teams that are not going to the playoffs are not usually buyers in that market. |

Jennings is a head case and went ballistic over the snitches get stitches level immature comments about Dlo. Said he could never play with him. Ok wish granted. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yup. We already had a better version and got rid of him for a long shot at finding someone as good in the late first round. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

The NBA waiver wire is heating up. Here are the players that could help playoff teams.
Quote: | NBA players who are waived this week will be joining playoff teams in the hunt for veterans to round out their rosters. As long as the player is waived by his current team on or before March 1, they are eligible for another team’s playoff roster. |

Been going on for almost two years lol. Don't think it'll ever end.
But Jennings will want to go to a playoff team and I'm sure nobody here or in the front office wants him on the team anyway. |

Brandon Jennings was fun in locker room - truly a student of game, watches everything, knows everything about its history. A savant. |

Brandon Jennings told NYK recently he wanted to play for a playoff team, source said. NYK released the vet PG, plan to sign another. Woj 1st |

Just imagine if we retain our lottery pick and we're faced with drafting another PG as BPA. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

there is nobody decent out there, guess Scola is in the mix too. Now if NYK releases Derek Rose I may take him in and give him a 1 year + team option contract this offseason since we are likely to want to punt the cap space anyway. Dude is still youngish and can ball a bit, especially if we don't get a top 2 pick in the draft I would mind seeing that. |

Lakers shouldn't sign anybody who would help them win this year.
If there are any young guys, they may be worth a look, as a sort of extended tryout. But those guys don't get waived usually. |

when guys go on the waiver wire, any team can grab if they are willing to take over their salary, and have cap space to do. practically no one claims them and they become unrestricted free agents.
so at this point in the season any player worth nabbing will sign with a contender.
no one we need |

IF there was any interest in anyone, I would consider Terrence Jones. After that, I don't see anyone worth signing. Terrence is always hurt, but is just 25 and can block some shots. Maybe |

I am pretty sure they all suck by now. And we should trade most of them. For superstars. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |
