These players are just too lazy to play any defense. And it will never change. Defense is effort and teaching. Its obvious that they do not have any of that. Effort is on really low level and teaching is not there also.

If you put Randle/Black out there, you're going to get beat like a drum.

Russell and Ingram had some "moments" of nice D, but those moments need to expand out to the whole time they're out there.

D-Lo makes a few good plays defensively but needs to put forth more effort there. Ingram usually plays pretty hard on both ends.

We were playing decent defense for the first 20 games when we were 10 and 10. Then DLO got injured, Nance got injuried and the wheels fell off the cart.

Agree with the OP that it is frustrating.

I am hoping we will be better next season with a whole summer to work on the rotations ect.

We're intentionally cutting back the minutes of our better defenders for the Tank & growth of the kiddo's. Our D is probably going to dip, not improve for the remainder of the season.

Black, Zubac & Nance are shot blockers, Ingram at age 19 is a willing defender who seems to enjoy it. Clarkson, Russell & Randle have their moments.

Seems like lapses in team defense is their doom in any quarter that makes it a 15-18 quarter difference.

When we were winning Chips, we didn't have as many young players cause of lack of 1st rd picks. These kids get their 19 yr old feet wet first year, improve 2nd yr & hopefully the 3rd yr they are fully committed for 48 minutes (cough, cough) at least not to go down by 10 or more any point of game!

Another year with this group we should know who's going to contribute & be around for next contracts...

Yes, one thing proven throughout history is that 21-22 yo people never change as they get older.

If the FO is really looking for defense they need look no further than their own LA D-Fenders.
David Nwaba is the leading candidate for D-League defensive Player of the Year. He's worth a 10 day look or maybe a camp invite next season.
His offensive game is a work in progress but his defense is REAL.

Absolutely. There's nothing left to lose this season, give those guys some burn.

It's really annoying watching the lack of defense..it's like the players do it on purpose, just to annoy the fans

Kudos to the FO for having the "basketballs" 🏀 to make this well-deserved call-up. Good luck Mr. Dunk David Nwaba! 👍🏾
