So happy about this. Will bring some much needed perimeter defense to the team. He'll take his lumps early on due to the shift in competition, but I see him as someone who can grow with the team.

I mean (bleep), I thought Russell was long for 6'5 with a 6'9 wingspan. That's crazy

+ : elite length, explosive, can finish around the rim, shooting 65% for the team, but..
- : only take TWO (!) shots outside the paint area

but what the heck, welcome Mr. Dunk!

I was surprised to see him listed at only 6'4. Plays a lot bigger than that.

Briante Weber just signed with Hornets, so Nwaba technically left the d-league as first in TPA.

I'd watched the D-fenders when Zu was playing with them
David Nwaba was kind of a defensive beast - pretty impressive

He does fill a need, curious to see how he does defensively against NBA talent.

we will likely have 2 guys (Roster spot 16 & 17) on two way contracts next year, so even if he needs more development, he could be a candidate for one of those slots

Tony Allen upside.

Can't shoot, can rebound and finish inside with high efficiency, plays the passing lanes well and is a defensive beast.

He made the D-Fenders through open tryouts. Now he's on the Lakers! I hope he finds a way to stick.

Holy Christ at that wingspan.

Can't shoot, but his length and athletic ability is enough alone to give him an audition in the big leagues.

The guy had 16 boards, I repeat 16 boards as a guard in one game. I love this move by FO. Can just someone tell me what is the rule for these 10 days contracts. Can we give him another one or?

Maybe it's the team trying to find players that can actually play defense. Hopefully he can shoot mediocre at best or otherwise he will be like Anthony Brown.

Caught him up close a couple of weeks ago. I'll be very surprised if he sticks in the league, but he's a good defender.

If I remember two 10 day contracts are the max.
