I think there should minimum number of games to qualify for the award and he certainly has not met it.


I don't see a reason for a minimum # of games. I think the voters already weigh that as one factor.

Someone...maybe Pelton on ESPN Insider.....looked at the last couple decades, and every year except one, the player with the highest big 3 stats added together (Points+Rebounds+Assists) had won the award. So if Embiid is not considered, it would be Saric @ 19.7.

I would not be surprised if he was in the discussion if he played from the beginning of the season....but I guess its hard to question the way they have handled him since he has responded so well.
