What were the responses that you received on a pro Phoenix or at a minimum a neutral web site?

What is the motivation for Phoenix?

Is that a trick question? They get a 1st round pick they can use to collect more young players, while they let there young big man develop, Mozgov will be there for insurance, while we get a more mobile rim protector and a solid bench contributor.

Chandler owed: 26.5m
Mozgov owed: 48m

so thats 21.5m for 1 1st round pick.

they also have to pay Len this summer

That should have been on there mind when they gave Chandler and Knight big contracts, we will be doing them a favor if we made that trade, granted they take on 4 years of Mozgov, they will have a easier time letting Mozgov come off the bench then with Chandler.

They have Chriss / Bender / Len / that they need to develop, I don't think the Suns will mind doing that trade, they can have a easier time convincing Mozgov to come off the bench then with Chandler.

As Chase.button07 has pointed out, Phoenix would be taking on a significant amount of extra salary for a late first round pick.

If they want a bench Big for insurance, they should be able to find more reasonably salaried players than Mozgov.

The Suns will have a pick early in the first round and another pick early in the second round. I am not expecting them to be hungry enough for a late first round pick to do the trade that you suggested.

You may be right, but do they really care about adding more salary, I think they value Chriss more then Len, so they might let Len walk.

you have any reports that says Chandler has been a cancer and will look to get playing time?

contrary to that: suns took trade offers to Chandler during trade deadline and he said he prefers to stay.

so they compound their mistake by taking double the salary of mozgov? I doubt that

I don't, but they have Len/Chriss/Bender not to mention Alan Williams.

He probably did say that, but he also would be happy coming back to his hometown.

I think they do care. also keeping cap space makes them do trades like Calderon and others to pick up assets.

I highly doubt they trade for mozgov

The only way we are getting rid of moz or send is if we give up future picks or one or more of our young players. Unfortunately Mitch and Jim put us in a tough spot. Even stretching them at this point doesn't help that much with what there earning.

AGREED!
We're in between a rock and a hard place. All these proposed trades (Moz/Deng) are nothing more than a pipe-dream at this point in time.

Stretching both Mozgov and Deng helps significantly actually. Unless you feel that 17 million in cap space isn't helpful. Our win-loss record is far more debilitating to our efforts to improve the team than both Mozgov and Deng's contracts.

I don't think Mozgov is unmovable either. Here's a plausible scenario I feel.

Nets Get: Timofey Mozgov, Tyler Ulis, Rockets 2017 1st, & Suns 2017 2nd
Suns Get: Brook Lopez
Lakers Get: Tyson Chandler

-Nets cash in Lopez' expiring contract into desperately needed assets. Still save cap space short term.
-Suns sharply upgrade at Center, give Len another year to develop and gain Lopez' Bird Rights for when he hits free agency.
-Lakers save salary by swapping Mozgov for hometown vet Chandler who has championship experience. His contract is a year shorter and there's a reasonable chance he could even retire before it's through.

The Lakers? They might be the one team confident enough to wait for George's free agency. George's interest in L.A. is real, and widely known. But nothing is certain until you get that signature, and every day between now and that July 2018 day brings the risk of some unknown variable messing up your plans.

If the pingpong balls bounce L.A.'s way in the lottery, the Lakers could approach Indy with an offer built around Brandon Ingram and a top-3 pick. That's a lot, but it wouldn't represent a Melo-style roster ravaging from George's standpoint. He's ready to win now; Ingram and a teenaged rookie won't be ready to win for years.

Lol at Ingram + top 3 for 1 yr rental of pg13? No way when he is saying he wants to win and play for contender

Yeah. No way.

1 of Tier 1 assets (DLO/BI/Top 3).

1 of Tier 2 assets (Jules/JC/Zub)

That's it. (and fillers and protected future pick).
