Whats Coop up to these days? He'd be perfect for BI to learn defense from. Both are lanky and BI will probably never have a NFL body. Or offense, Kob + Magic would be great for him. Even if its just a 4wk plan with each. Use our legends. Same goes for DLo.
I think Coop is a WNBA coach no?
Any Showtime era Laker would do anything for Magic. They'll defend him for the simplest, non-basketball related thing. So I don't think it would be a problem for Coop or anyone to help out if asked...
Will Brandon Ingram become the Lakers’ next superstar?
Quote:
Brandon Ingram may not be a rookie of the year candidate in the NBA, but he is the Los Angeles Laker with the biggest upside and looks like a superstar in the making.
Although Ingram started off the season slow, he has progressed nicely for the Lakers.
This! Kobe is perfect for Ingram's style of play. So perfect that he can probably help him with both ends of the court. From posting up, his turnaround jumper, finishing at the rim, building his body up.....ehhh I could go on and on, but Kobe would be perfect.
I'd prefer they use players that have played in the modern era of nba basketball. The game has changed and evolved alot since Cooper played. Sure there are things he can help with, but there are better fits our there. I'd love to see Russell work with Steve Nash. I think Nash could really help Russell with some of the finer details of the position. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. So the last 20 games, he's taking more shots and making more of them. I hope these trends continue for the final 12 games.
blowing up!!
In the month of March, Ingram is averaging 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists and that includes a game against the Boston Celtics where Ingram was held scoreless in 26 minutes
Main difference I see with Ingram, is his jump shot form, and the fact he's taking more of them off the dribble and from that sweet spot from mid which I near always am expecting him to swish.
His form is different in more of his shots than before. there's times he goes back to the old habit/form but it's appearing less and less, and that's a very good thing, as his jump shot is truly benefiting from it.
He's always playing through contact to finish at the basket as well, it's very good to see. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

His uptick in aggressive play and mid range pull up jumper accuracy are reasons for recent impressive play for sure. He's starting to get it, very encouraging.

The arc on his midrange shots is so high, that the ball basically drops through the net. Those swishes are ridiculously clean.
Perhaps it's the angle of the camera, but usually, when I watch guys shoot from behind the arc, I expect the basketball to be above the backboard at peak.
His attack on the closeout on that reverse layup was absurd.
Love the Lamar Odom comparison you and Darius made. Maybe not the rebounder Lamar was but a perfect glue guy on a championship team like Lamar, a point forward that can score. That's a special player. _________________ My Dream Starting 5 next Season

Hypothetical.. Let's say we are fortunate enough to pick up Ball in the draft, and pick up PG13 in free agency.. What's your starting line up? Considering PG doesn't want to play PF.

I think they would be traded for each other. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I'm hoping the front office is smart enough to not do that..

If we get to keep Dlo and the top 3 pick then it's not that crazy at all. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Dlo, Ingram, and Zu equals a no go as far as a trade is concerned for PG13. Especially when he's already intimated that he doesn't want us trading assets for him. You could be right though, we may have to part with one to get the deal done.
I was just curious as to who's in the starting rotation assuming we have.
Not happening. Pg13 doesn't want to play PF and Ingram is nowhere near ready. He would be off the bench but I think he would likely be traded for pg13. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I'd start Dlo at the one and bring Ball off the bench. I wouldn't bench Ingram for Ball.
Ingram or Russell could come off the bench as the sixth man or be part of a trade for a separate star. Word is PG doesn't want this team stripped of assets from a trade and just wants to sign as a FA.
