Said no team ever.

I'd rather have him on the tean over MWP, Deng and Mozgov.

His hustle and ability to do the little things is very appreciated.

What little things? He hustles and he can hard hedge, besides that I don't know what he provides

This is a serious question. He's not a noted screener, he's god awful at defensive rotations, he doesn't keep the ball moving... what exactly are the "little things" that he's doing?

gets his hands on more rebounds that anyone I have ever seen....I mean literally touches the ball. Even when he cant secure the rebound, he seems to touch almost every ball that comes off the rim if he is even remotely close to the area....and often it deflects away from opponent to another Laker.

Okay sure, I agree there. I didn't interpret that as "a little thing" but I'll grant him that. But I don't see what else he does beneficial whatsoever. When I think "little things" I think of the stuff Nance does, like set killer screens, rotate properly, hustle for the ball, keep the ball moving, outlet the ball quickly, etc.

What happened to T-Rob? Out of rotation, injury? Not plan of the future? I thought he'd be the perfect min salary back up big

I think the main thing is that he's got other guys ahead of him in the rotation. The Lakers have Zubac, Black, Mozgov, Randle and Nance who can play center. And they have Randle, Nance, Deng, Black and Ingram who can play power forward. I think when he has had the chance to play he's played hard, just not enough minutes to go around.

I am sure he will try to get a little more on the FA market....but I assume he could be an option if nobody is willing to pay him next year....and when I say pay him, I just mean more than the minimum.

Yep. He has some pretty good dribble drive moves too. I've talked a lot of (bleep) on him, but he deserves praise today.

How did this guy wind up as a draft bust given how hard he works? Drafted 5h overall, ahead of Damien Lilliard, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Draymond Green, Khris Middleton, Jae Crowder, Festus Ezeli...

Great effort & hustle tonight when everybody else mentally checked out.

T-Rob stat: 16 points (7-8 fg, 2-2 ft), 6 rebs, +/- 2, in 10 minutes.

The Anti-Tank: Since the AS break, the Lakers are +2.7 in 47 minutes with Robinson on the floor.

Thomas Robinson Will Do ‘Anything Possible’ To Remain A Laker

Quote:
No one expected much from Thomas Robinson when the Los Angeles Lakers signed him to a non-guaranteed deal just before training camp began. His energy and work ethic allowed him to beat the odds, however, and make the 15-man roster.

Lakers' Thomas Robinson tries to provide energy, whether he's on court or not
Quote:
Because of that help, Robinson said he will “do anything possible I can to stay a Laker” once he becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

“I’m trying to build my family here,” said Robinson

At first I thought he wasn't given a big enough opportunity but he just didn't develop the proper skillset to stay in the league

We not keep him and dump randle? Trade Randle/28pick for top 15 pick?
I'm sure a Nance, Robinson, Deng rotation can hold it down at PF.

Money talks but I'm hoping we can TRob for the minimum. I don't mind having someone like him off the bench. Maybe he can put it together and be part of the rotation. At the very least, he can push Randle in practices. It will be even better if in games so Randle can get locked in on the defensive end.

3 year deal at 3M per season I'd be open to.

A) His age, ability to grow with the team
B) His energy and effort is never questioned
C) There's always a role on a team for a player like him.

Give him a 2+1 (player option) around $3.33 Million...gives him the ability to say he signed a $10 Million contract, and the incentive to outplay it to opt out and get paid more that 3rd year. When he plays with confidence, the way he has played lately, he is a legitimate NBA player.
