115-112 was terrible.. but GGG definitely won that fight. |

It was close, but I had G winning by 2 rounds plus the knockdown. There were several close rounds, but G was landing more throughout the fight. The Chocolatito decision was an absolute robbery. It wasn't even a close fight imo, which makes that decision a joke. |

My brother called me and told me it was a huge Robbery -- that Jacobs clearly won. My best friend called me and said it was a close fight but he had GGG winning by 2 rounds. Seems to me that overall people think GGG barely won. I think the fact that Jacobs missed weight 5 lbs and was nearly 20 lbs heavier day of, makes a huge difference.
Can't wait to watch the fight. I have it downloaded. Just waiting for the family to leave so I can watch it. |

The underdog factor plays in to the thinking of people in these fights. Because Jacobs stuck around ( and fought well ) for 12 rounds. It makes it look like he was better than he actually was because the hype is always for a GGG knock out.
GGG won without much of an issue and the knockdown was the cherry. |

I had GGG winning by 1 round, but there was definitely one round that I found could have gone either way. Anyhow, I wouldn't have been surprised if Jacbos had won on any of the judges cards (even though they didn't), but I don't think it was a robbery at all. It was strange to watch GGG be more calculated. Part of me feels like he didn't push for more activity, just to draw in Canelo fight.
Now, the Chocolatito fight, I had him winning by 1 round. Although, it was definitely a very close fight as well. That was actually more entertaining to watch than the GGG/Jacobs fight. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

No Friday fights, but there is a fight tonight and a couple Saturday.

I figured Glen Tapia would've retired after the few fights he's been ko'd in lately. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

The second time I watched the fight (w commentators volume normal) and hearing the commentators point out a few things I missed jacobs do or perhaps influencing my thoughts I saw that the fight could go either way. But ultimately, I think jacobs gave GGG too much respect the 1st half of the fight which gave GGG the win. |

I think the consensus is that GGG won the fight... barely.. and mainly because of that 10-8 round.
it makes sense why jacobs gives him trouble. switching stances, taller, longer, moves well..
GGG was cautious because of jacob's power. I don't buy the idea that GGG was making himself look bad so that canelo would fight him. he wouldn't do that against jacobs. It's too dangerous.
a rematch would just be more of the same.. GGG landing and stunning jacobs.. while Danny boxes and moves. GGG's jab is a thing of beauty. it really keeps guys in check. |

If you guys wanna check out Vegas on the weekend of Canelo v. JCC2, there's gonna be a boxing expo you may want to check out.
www.boxfanexpo.com
Supposed to be plenty of ex fighters there and a lot of memorabilia to purchase. Something to look into. Always wanted to meet Roberto Durant and he may be there. |

lomachenko.. love watching this guy. It's like Pacquiao when he was up and coming.
I can't believe that Ward gave kovalev the rematch.. i love it. Sergei is going to be out for blood.. but I think its going to be rounds 13-24 and more of the same.. Ward frustrating Kovalev. |

Glad the rematch is official! Although I don't like his fighting style, you gotta give Ward props for his heart/confidence. He didn't have to move up, but he did. He didn't have to face Kovalev (the boogey man of the division), but he made it clear that he was moving up to take him on (and did). Now, he did not have to take the rematch, but he wants to continually prove himself to his fans and doubters (like myself). If Ward wins convincingly over Kovalev this time, I will give him all the credit as P4P #1.
With that said, I got Kovalev in the rematch. From the start, I think he will punish Ward to the body when fighting on the inside (like he did late in the first fight), and he will hurt/drop Ward a few times. |

Will be at the Lomachenko fight tonight in D.C. - it's actually only a 15 minute drive from where I live in Arlington, Virginia. Will be the first fight they have at the new MGM casino out there.
Really looking forward to it - the Lomachenko/Sosa card is a really solid card from top to bottom. 3 undefeated Ukrainian fighters with excellent amateur pedigrees as well as 3 or 4 other really really good undefeated, Top Rank prospects on the undercard as well.
Call me crazy, but I'd give Jason Sosa a smidgeon of a shot to win this fight and think there's somewhat of a chance the fight could be competitive. (though I fully expect Lomachenko to win this fight). Sosa's one of those Philly guys that you can never count out... he's won or pulled out a draw in *multiple* fights as a HUGE underdog, the same way other Philly guys like Danny Garcia and Bernard Hopkins did in their primes.
Again, not saying I actually think he'll win but I am putting (very small) bets on his at 20-1 to win and 42-1 for a draw and will see what happens LOL. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him at least keep it competitive for a bit... I do think he probably lasts the distance so have a bet on the over 9.5. Sosa's tough so this should be a good one either way... |

Loma once again outclasses another opponent. Beautiful pivot work on the inside. I'll give it to Sosa. Guy has some heart. Much more than Walters showed. |

All 3 Ukranian's on the card were impressive, although the Cruiserweight won't fair too well at heavyweight, if he plans on moving up at some point.
Lomachenko did what I expected. I'd love for them to make the Mikey Garcia fight that's being talked about. That would be such a good fight.
The light heavyweight really impressed me. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Me too. Oleksandr really worked Gonzalez. His hand speed, boxing ability and footwork was very impressive. Gonzalez's corner did the right thing signaling to have the fight stopped.
I thought the Hunter vs Usyk should have been stopped. Seems as though the ref wanted to give Hunter a chance to finish the fight. I don't think risking the health of a fighter so he can say he finished the fight is a good idea. Hunter had no chance to win unless he landed a lucky hay maker. He could have been seriously injured. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I would like to see it but since Mikey no longer with Top Rank and is apparently with Haymon, it will be hard to make. The HBO team seemed to gloss right over that matchup. |

I became familiar with Porter when he was sparring with Pacquiao. I thought he'd be better than he is. He's a scrapper. I agree this should be a good scrap. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
