you know that Luke believes that learning to win is something more important than the odds change in picks.

And he is correct, as long as it is our young players in the game I will never cheer for them to lose. Right now they are our future.

Hence why they shouldnt have been put back in

Tank forever then?

i am confident a regular like you knows our situation is very unique

Well, i know we have back to back top 2 picks after a top 7 pick. At some point you need to turn the corner and build instead of just collecting talent.

Plus, I don't agree with the idea of always needing more talent. You need sufficient talent and build around it. If you have too much talent, you can regress development or just do all the dirty work for the players next team(s) when you cant afford to pay them all.

yeah, we disagree....I think every team in the NBA wants more talent, and given our situation, next season is strategically the optimal time to turn the corner....with our top 3 pick.

the real problem is that you will never know if what happened here today made a difference.

if the suns get a top 3 and we do not, I will have a pretty good idea

but that could have happened even if we finished with the worst record, right? I know you want to give yourself the best chance but even then it is just a chance.

Great coaching job tonight

some people don't understand that.too much pride.

So, I guess your plans are that we should tank every year so that we can stay in the lottery and keep acquiring good talent. That sounds like the long-term plan of the Clippers to me.

oh the big pride guy. I do forex trading for living. go look it up what it is.

95% fail rate.

u should know when to fold. no ego/no pride. its all about profit/gains

And you should know there comes a point you actually open your eyes and realize that the talent we've picked up over the last 3 years is starting to turn the corner to a place we wanted them to and have been waiting on.

When kids start coming into their own it ain't at your 'convenience' it's when they start to 'get it' which is what we've been waiting on.

Would we have preferred it at the start of the season? Yeah, but it's happening right now.

I'm not gonna complain about us losing for 3 straight seasons and for the young kids to start coming into their own and then RIGHT as they start to come into their own am I gonna sit there and go "um wait.. could you delay it just a little longer?"

Makes no sense unless you're afraid of winning.

If you ain't been gassed, you ain't worth Jim's sympathy.

I would respond to him, but I would get banned

He'll get himself banned again soon enough, it's in his nature.

Thanks for the link, I did not know TRob's background.

why u hate me? just curious?

its internet, seems like nobody cares but you have an eye for me

honestly i don't even know who you are

I appreciate you, man, but I think you go off sometimes talking (bleep) about players that's completely unnecessary.

Put it this way: why you hate TRob? Why hate him so much that you condescend what he's overcome ("at least he wasn't beheaded by ISIS") because he hit a few baskets in a game you wanted to see the Lakers lose? He doesn't even know who you are.

But I'll leave you be from now on. Peace, dude.

While I agree there was some value in this game as opposed to Spurs game. We lost that privilege to enjoy and benefit games like this by putting ourself in this position. Suns gave us a chance. We have too much at stake to not take advantage. Period!!!

Every team may want it, but teams have to prioritize. Every team wants to win too. But not every team can win. So while I would agree we should be stockpiling talent right now, I don't think moving vets and getting young talent reps would make sense for a team like the Warriors.

Who knows, maybe this late push gives the young ones some much needed confidence going into the off season, they realize that to win you MUST play for each other, and perhaps even give a decent free agent a second thought about joining us.

I agree about the Spurs game. Kind of a pointless win. I mean, we played a lineup that may not ever see the light of day again.

The Suns didn't give us a chance. They're just doing the same thing we are doing. Both teams have only 5 wins since the ASB.

I can't believe people are against wins gained by our young core, our young guys are stepping up and bringing impact to the game at such a young age. I don't want Booker or Wiggins who put up big numbers in a loss, such losers.

Maybe it is time for you to apply that counsel in your responses in this thread. I don't see how you could possibly believe that you have a winning hand here.

Luke tried to tank against Spurs.

Came into tonight saying screw it lets win.

When Suns won, he failed to adjust.

Hes shown a lot rigidity as a rookie coach
