Michael Porter Jr.
set for decade |
kid isnt afraid talk about being the best thats ever played. crazy.
coached by brandon roy and comes from a basketball family.
it'd suck that we lose our pick this year but we'd have a chance at least at Porter Jr/Ayton/Doncic
we're pretty much gonna suck next year either way and we'll be dreading the lottery next year hoping the sixers dont land a top 3 with our pick lol |
we will not top 3 suck unless we tank |
We could get lucky like the Cavs did when they got Kyrie |
Do you mean the Wiggins draft? 2014 was their miracle draft, not 2011. |
They jumped up from #9 for Wiggins in 2014 and #8 for Kyrie in 2011
and then they got Bennett too lol, I read it was a 0.00012% chance for all that to happen. |

All that luck and their jerk owner still led the charge on vetoing the CP3 trade for us.
We are due some payback, I just ask that we get to keep our pick that's all, I don't ask for 1 or 2 I just pray we get to keep our top 3 pick

This win streak accomplished nothing other than giving us a better chance at losing our pick. Seriously, it came at the worst time against bad teams that were also tanking or good teams that were resting their best players.

Okay, I just read the notes on draftexpress. That was the Clipper's pick that jumped 8 spots, which they owed to the Cavs. The Cavs were rightfully bad that year with the 2nd worst record. All these jumps makes you think if his return wasn't planned and scripted. I'm not too big on conspiracies, but this makes you wonder. |

Hasty generalization. Did you actually watch the games? Memphis was obviously trying to win, and so were the Timberwolves. |

Magic better be on that podium next month like Byron was for better or worse. If you believe in the basketball gods, they won't do Magic like that right???
As for Porter Jr, you know the Lakers will have to pretty much tank by Thanksgiving to have any real chance at him and that's if MagicBuss don't Melo us this summer.
But many people in this thread couldn't handle 2 months of partial tanking so no point in worrying about Top 5 next year unless Lakers lead league in injuries.
(and I know the Lakers could still keep the pick next month) |

Well, Memphis didn't play Gasol, though. |

So would you have been happier had we won these 6 games earlier in the season and finished the season on a 6 game losing streak? |

Absolutely, it would have showed
1, we have a more competent team
2. We have a more sensible/rational/lucky front office and coaching staff |

I don't know if some of these folks understand that we basically always had a 50/50 chance. We're still in it! _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Lol and the fact that we'd have 27 wins and the same odds would mean nothing to you? You're proving the point I was making in asking that question. |

I just find it funny that the timing of these wins bothers people more than the actual number. These five (possibly 6) games are the same whether they happened in January or in April. |

All I can say is: Steve Nash trade.

People need to calm down and have some perspective.
The wolves are generally considered one of the most youthfully talented teams many expect to be a major player in the conference soon.
A lot of folks on this board including myself have said we are about a year behind the wolves and guess what if we win out we would have lost just 2 more games than they did last year and only about 5 games behind them this year. Think about that for a second.
We are on the right road. |

Yup! Porter is legit, I wish he could declare for this draft, stupid one and done rule.

I could happen. We lose our pick this year to Philly. We go on to win about 35 games next year with our youngsters and get the Cav's bounce to the ping pong balls and nab Porter.
That is how it is done people! _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Nash seemed like a cool, weird dude who had his best shot at a title torpedoed by Kobe and Ron Ron, which makes me happy. I can't hate a 39-year-old's body finally breaking down after a serious injury. |

If Nash's leg wasn't broken by Lillard, I think we'd have a different view of him. He was always a hard worker and supremely talented. That injury ended his career much like Kobe's Achilles. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
