actually I think it's just "ok"
Kind of firmly believe that only 'Humble' , 'DNA' ,'Element', 'Loyalty', 'Lust', and maybe 'Love' - are great songs.
GKMC is the pinnacle of rap albums in the last 5-8 years though.
imo! |

You go listen to Duckworth right now and put it on that list!
GKMC is great. I thought I was alone in liking it better than TPAB but lately I've heard a lot of people say the same. _________________ 14-5-3-12 |

haha ok I just listened to Duckworth again and it's solid - I'm a sucker for those type of beat switches like The Game's 300bars
But yea GKMC way over TPAB , imo. TPAB was a vibe, a teaching -- but it didn't resonate with me soooo much.
I think Blank Face by Schoolboy is better than this. Contrarian ftw!! hahahaha |

Kendrick has more great songs in his catalog than maybe only 5 rappers in history, though.. So I'll put him up on a pedestal anyway.. |

GKMC is definitely better than TPAB. Tons of memorable songs.
But as much as I like Kendrick and have him as probably my favorite of the current crop of in-vogue rappers, I might have to argue that the lesser known Hopsin does just about everything better (besides storytelling perhaps).
Then again I'd take the Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LPs over Kendrick's entire catalog, so maybe I have strange tastes. |

I'd rather listen to okafor or porzingis.

It's good. I don't think it is as good as his previous 2 albums. That being said, youre comparing it to 2 incredible albums. GKMC is one of the best albums of the last decade IMO.
DNA is fire, best track on it for me. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Solid album. Some nice cuts. Good to see so many here also puts GKMC > TPAB. Though, TPAB has some nice depth, maybe not as many hits but content was strong. _________________ Alltime lineup: Magic | Kobe | MJ | Hakeem | KAJ |

Didn't he say crap about Kobe in the past?
I hold a grudge... therefore, Kobe's better than him. |

On the contrary. He put out a video tribute on the day of his retirement:

Not sure where all the praise is coming from. GKMC and TPAB were masterpieces. I think I even like S.80 and OD over DAMN.
I only listened twice though. Will listen more closely this week and reassess. But huge disappointment IMO. _________________ Billions Billions Billions |

In Duckworth, there is a repeating bass line starting at about 37 seconds right after "just to remind you sweetheart that my..." to about 54 seconds and then again. Heavy and deep. It is so familiar but I can't remember in what song or sample I have heard it or something very similar before. Does anybody know? |
