I don't trade the #2 to Indiana, not without a sign and trade. There is a chance that George doesn't stay after his contract ends. I know some say that he would not want to lose his bird rights. That is just a hopeful guess, there is no guarantee he stays. Not one of you can guarantee he stays and resigns with us, same thing that happened with Dwight Howard. That would be a devastating loss to us, lose Paul George AND the #2 pick in the draft.

Also I'd rather see what the team looks like with someone like Ball on it. Play it out a year, and if George truly means it that he wants to be in P&G then we can sign him as a Free Agent. GSW has a stranglehold on this league for the next few years, they are still a young team. Keep the pick!

TL/DR:
Keep the #2, sign PG as a FA.

I'd rather trade Russell and Deng for Paul George.

I would do what it appears that Magic and Pelinka want to do, draft our player at 2 and then give the young core another year to show what they can do. We should see major improvements in year 3 from DLO and Randle. And if the youngsters look good, use future picks to get rid of Mozgov and/or Deng and play the FA market in 2018.

Well we can't do a sign and trade until next offseason, and then only if Paul George remains in Indy, which I doubt happens.

No. Too soft. 7 rebounds in 35 minutes. That's a joke.

I would trade this pick for Butler
i would trade this pick (with Deng) for PG13.

Tatum, Jackson - not good fit
Ball, Fox - not great talent.

Butler and PG are in their primes right now; we'd just be wasting their talent since there is no way we beat the Warriors for the next 2 to 3 seasons even with both of them.

Keep and develop the core; we can have 6 players all reaching their primes at the same time.

I'm glad Pelinka agrees with most of us for building a core and looking into the future than trying to win now at all cost.

Quote:
What Pelinka did make clear is that he is more focused on maintaining a core of young talent that can grow and, perhaps one day, win together. "We have as good a young core -- once we add this pick -- as any [team] in the league," he said. "Even the great teams that are dominant -- like Golden State -- they grew through the draft. We feel like we have that type of core, for sure."

Nope. DLO and Lonzo, let's see it before either of them become trade bait.
