And someone connected to Kobe

Are you a GM? How do you know that? Byron was a good coach when surrounded with star players (ie PG13, Kidd) horrible with new wave players that need their ego's massaged (Kyrie , Russell). He was the wrong coach for a young squad, and the only purpose of hiring him was to appease Kobe. Bad choice as they could have used anyone but decided to give fans false hopes using the name of a once loved star and pairing him with one that was about to go. I'm so glad Jimbo and Mitch are gone, thanks to their decisions they have regressed this team by 10 years.

You consider asking your team if they've ever been in a fist fight (instead of making real X's and O's adjustments) good coaching?

That sort of thing illustrates everything that was wrong with Byron. I still think a reasonable case could be made numbers wise that he was the worst coach in NBA history.

Please let Ball/Russell/Ingram play together. Trade anybody else, I don't care, but please let those 3 play together.

This is great if we add Kareem and Kobe to the FO.

Things are looking up.

I like that video better, where Magic's son says Kobe's not gonna really be a part of the Lakers at this time.

The article is new, and it was Kobe who said he wants to join the Lakers as well as Kareem..

Maybe they will eventually add someone with NBA FO experience

Luckily the quotes actually shared in that article have nothing to do with bringing Kobe and Kareem into a significant Lakers' management role.

That's more of both guys offering advice and nothing more. Thank god

That is good to hear, a new FO can't turn things around in one offseason. Adding a player like Ball and continued development from the young players should buy them time with the fans.

Kinda off topic, but NYK released Josh Longstaff, a player development coach who was close to Porzingis, and was also a PD coach in OKC from 2010-2014.

Would love to add him to the Lakers Player Development staff and think he can be more beneficial to the young than Madsen.

Five Key Offseason Questions: Los Angeles Lakers
Quote:
May 29th 2017 at 8:03pm CST by Dana Gauruder
It’s rare for a team that finished 41 games out of the top spot in its conference to have an air of optimism surrounding the organization. One of the league’s storied franchises has hit hard times lately but the Los Angeles Lakers headed into the offseason with some real hope for a turnaround.

Considering last season was an improvement over previous seasons, we don't want a turn around.

Don't put it past a man driven out by Jeanie and her then boyfriend, and then snubbed by her and her current avatar.

That actually would be a (bleep) travesty.
