Nah. He seemed like a great guy and I don't dislike him or his game, but we don't need another poor defending guard. He's also injury prone. Dude needs to go to a team that has a super strong defensive 2 guard and needs a scorer...we have plenty of scorers.

Doesn't fit the offense, assuming Lavar doesn't change it.

No, but he can be reunited with Clarkson in the backcourt when we trade JC, Moz, and the #28 to the Nets for Lopez.

People laughed at Lin, but both he and De Antoni were good signings in principle that didn't work out. If we didn't have Ball, I'd say yes... but we probably will take LB so we don't need him anymore.

What bothers me is Batum and Lin had almost identical career stats but one was considered a max player and the other was generally considered a flash in the pan scrub.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/linje01.html
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/batumni01.html

Lin 12.0 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.2 STL, .433 FG%
Batum 12.1 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 3.7 APG, 0.9 STL, .436 FG%

I have no problem with saying that Batum was a better player, but the vast chasm in the perception of the two I can only attribute to bias.

Hope we flourish with our new pick, but I hope people stop trolling poor Lin because he deserved better.

I wouldn't mind bringing Lin back. I think he is underrated. Depends on the cost.
