I am getting hit hard this year.

Who is with me and what do you do to alleviate your symptoms?

I take Allegra daily but there's no question this is the worst year that I can remember. My doctor confirmed it's hitting everyone hard.

Awful for me too. Been so for about a month now. The rain we had this weekend provided some much needed relief.

But yeah, it's been rough, and I usually try to weather it, but I may get some Allegra to help alleviate it.

Without realizing it, I started getting hit about 3 years ago after living an allergy free life.

I was told this was going to be one of the worst years ever for folks with allergies. I mean, the butcher at Sprouts has his finger firmly on the pulse.

I tend to get moderate outward symptoms of dry throat, nasal dripping with some eye itchiness and irritation but with severe depletion in energy. I feel like I'm operating at 50% or less. Like I've woken up and I'm 80 years old. I take a shower and feel like I need a nap. I have breakfast and feel like I need a nap. I wash and dry a load of laundry and need a nap. You get the picture. Anyone else feel this way?

I find out next week what I'm allergic too but so far as I know, freshly cut grass and dust are both triggers. I feel it hit me instantly with both.

For those of you fine folks that have endured this for years and decades, my hat is off to you all. This reeks.

lol, maybe that's why I'm so tired.

My wife always battles allergies... in HI we add on the volcanic haze (or vog)...... she varies between zyrtec, benedryl, Flonase..

I didn't know that allergies could be bad in Hawaii.
Thought the ocean breeze would blow most of it away.

Maybe this is why old folks go live in Arizona where it's dry and nothing lives?

Anyone do a Sinus Rinse? I try to use it every morning if I wake up on time. Here's the product I use:

http://shop.neilmed.com/Products/Sinus-Rinse/Sinus-Rinse-Regular-Kit

Really helps to clear out my sinuses. I'd recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already.

It's so strange. I used to get allergies all the time when I was a teenager (constantly running nose, watering eyes, and oh god the sneezing and then the nosebleeds from the sneezing), but since I graduated from college it's mostly gone away and I have no idea why. Now, I seem to very rarely get allergic and haven't noticed anything so far this year.

I also have none. Meaning none at all. Not animal fur. Not pollen or dust. Bees are my friends and I love peanuts.

It must be terrible to have to avoid these things.

Edit: I'm allergic to bull poo. It gives me anxiety and random unkind thoughts.

I'm heading to HI in December and didn't even think about that. I hear for folks with allergies, travel can be a mutha.

If you're not joking and you're feeling cold-like symptoms but not really heavy and you're feeling low energy and strength, I'd definitely get checked. As I said, I was suffering for a couple years with no clue why. Just knew I was feeling miserable.

Me too. This is the first time I've ever had an allergic reaction to anything.

That was just him scratching his eczema.
