Boston could trade for PG: Brooklyn 2018 pick, Brown, Crowder and Zeller as expiring contract. The pick would be pretty sweet!
And they can also sign Hayward.
A line-up of IT-Bradley-Hayward-PG-Hortford would give Cavs a real fight!!!

IT's contract is up after 2018. How the heck do they sign all those guys?

Rumors during the season was that they intend to let Thomas walk.

Yeah I am not so sure that they are sold on Thomas as part of long-term plans.

Thomas made their team exciting but I doubt he is a real part of their future. Ainge did get all these assets lined up without having a vision.

Odds to win the 2018 championship Celtics 12-1 and Lakers 100-1 via Bovada. Celtics are tied with the Spurs for 3rd behind Warriors and Cavs.

Boston will win the east next year but if golden state is healthy no one will beat them.

Honestly feel that Wizards have the best chance of taking out the Cavs. John Wall continuing to get better and Bradley Beal making that leap will make them a lot better then people think. Otto Porter, Kelly Oubre will both be getting better.

That Washington core is pretty young.

If Celtics draft Fultz that to me is a sign that they are not gonna offer Thomas anywhere near the supermax he is gonna want and he should go after considering it will be his one big NBA contract

Fultz will spend his rookie year being groomed to be Thomas's replacement, if they go Jackson I could see them at mid season trading Green and Bradley and picks for a star with Jackson and Brown being their replacements

Is the NBA having a third place game? It would help pass the time between the Conference and NBA Finals.

So Celtics take Cavs to 6, instead of 5. No biggy.

Apparently, in 2018 we will clear out the last hurdle preventing the Celtics from being in the Finals every year for like a decade.

Isn't Lebron turning 33 this year? They're probably banking on him declining enough in a couple years to get over on the Cavs.

Are you not considering that a bunch of teams in the West just got stronger with OKC - Westbrook and PG and the Rockets Chris Paul and Harden? The Spurs and Golden State will still be tough teams to get through. Are the Lakers really in a better position now to reach the Finals?

Hayward is a big piece for the Celtics and I agree it's not enough to beat Cleveland but the Celtics may not be done yet. I think Hayward understood that the West will be a much tougher path in the near future. However, there is a decent chance Lebron is leaving next year anyways to a team in the West and in that case, the East is wide open for a team to make it pretty far.

The talent flow from East to West in free agency has been remarkable. Other than Hayward, has any player of note gone from West to East? The biggest name other than Hayward is J.J. Reddick.

So yeah, the Celtics could waltz to the Finals if something happens to the Cavs, like an untimely injury or two. Once they get there, though, it will be a different story. The Celtics could be like the Nets from the early '00s.

Man, when Lebron leaves and Wall gets frustrated and leaves, I hope the 76ers are ready to take out Boston.

Unfortunately Embiid probably won't stay healthy. It will really depend on then next few draft picks.
