Next to Magic Johnson, Duncan is the most accomplished and greatest team player in NBA history. That is why.
I don't agree with that at all. I feel like you should be paid what you are worth. Kobe won championships without taking less. Shaq won championships without taking less. Duncan is just ring chasing by sacrificing his money so all stars can join that team.
Pathetic if you ask me
Duncan led a team to four titles before he started taking big paycuts.
and kobe never took a paycut to win 4 and 5. he needed only one all star to win a back to back finals in 3 appearances
Then you must be really impressed with Duncan winning in 03 with no all-star or player giving star type support on the roster?

Oh yea. David Robinson,Tony Parker, Manu ginobili and Stephen Jackson were just role players

He's either done or saving himself for the last two rounds. Due to his coach, it's hard to tell which it is.
Duncan is not the player he used to be, but he's still effective, particularly on defense. That said, OKC is a team he struggles with.
Typical Pop move. He's the best there is at resting and getting the most from his aged players.
not gonna lie he is a great coach. He is the best coach after Phil Jackson
I put him on the same level with Phil. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Guess he wasn't such a jackpot after all. At least coming from their 2nd round elimination.
I mean they could have done that without him, truth be told.
But I know he is there as the bridge after Timmy.
I always said it was about the big three's relative health and unselfish nature that allowed the team to be good for so long. If Timmy hangs it up, lets see how this all shakes out.

I can't. He is damn close though.
There are a ton of things Pop can do that Phillip can't, but overall the triangle master is better.
What Phillip should be doing is taking pointers from Pop as a front office guy.

Is Popovich really that good of a coach? It feels like they've been bounced in three of the past four years due to coaching-related blunders.
Though I think that the main problem is that they've just never had a real #1 option. Kawhi isn't a go-to scorer, and neither is Aldridge. Parker and Ginobili were never #1s either. Even prime Duncan wasn't. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

All of it. It's fair to not like the spurs, but if that's your take on all the players mentioned (and pop)...then you weren't watching basketball the past 20 years.

So you think Duncan was a legitimate #1 scoring option? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Aldridge really looked slow at times this season. He has a lot of NBA miles on him and with his medical issues (heart) I am glad the Lakers were unsuccessful in trying to max him out. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Yes.
Sorry CC, but you're wrong on this one. Duncan is #6 on the all-time playoff scoring list. It's just hard to believe because Duncan was good at everything that you forget that he was also a pretty damn good scorer.
The only thing you were correct was that Ginobili and Parker weren't #1 options.

lmao
Kendrick Lamar-er Kawhi's growth as a scorer this year has been downright remarkable. There was a point in the playoffs where every time he took a shot, I was convinced it was going in. _________________ *sighs*
