Equal talent? Duncan didn't have one season with the type of supporting talent Hakeem had for the majority of his career.
Parker and Manu are both future HOF players. |

Hakeem has better footwork than any other big man, ever.
That being said, he isn't close to the best center ever. Wilt was ridiculous and to me, Cap is by far the best. Cap, when he was younger, played great defense and his shot of course was unstoppable.
Duncan might have been mr. Fundamentals but Hakeem had that and more. He just didn't have the longevity as Hakeem relied on quickness more than others.
Either way though, Kobe had way more skills than Hakeem so my vote goes to him. |

you cant just look at the top 3 players by judging the talent. Some teams are top heavy with 2-3 elite players and a bunch of scrubs filling out the roster. Other teams have their talent more balanced throughout the team. And while Tony and Manu were never MVP level players I do think in their prime they had elite level talent. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi |

Hakeem made it to the finals against Boston, taking out showtime Lakers, without a point guard. Then he lost Samson and two other players to cocaine. Imagine what that team could have accomplished.
He never had good coaching until Rudy T, and then even then.
Give Olajuwon that consistency of great coaching and great teammates and we'll see the team success. This is why Olajuwon is underrated here.
Imagine if Jordan doesn't retire and they play the Rockets both years? Imagine if Olajuwon won one or both of those matchups. Then I'm sure the knock would be that Olajuwon didn't get to play Shaq, because Shaq would have beat them. |
