Cheeks suffers from gout. I wonder if that was the medical emergency. I had a friend who had the malady. Some days he had trouble walking.

Couldn't a change in diet alleviate this?

I only ask because I remember an episode of Everybody Hates Chris devoted to this subject.

I believe diet can alleviate some pain. My friend ate a lot of pork. His doctor told him that wasn't good. Fish, chicken, veggies, no fried food, a long list of do's and don'ts. Also there are medications to ease the pain. I don't think there's a cure for the sickness.
