So GSW may not be able to keep their own core together. I could see them consider trading D. Green or Klay for cheaper alternatives.

I think there's a decent chance Klay gets traded this summer or next season at the deadline.

He didn't have a good year with KD, and he has to get paid soon. Don't think they dare getting rid of Dray, he does too much for them.

I think it's $1.3 billion for 4 years. Still a huge amount. But the Warrior owners will probably take a short term hit to build up the franchise brand and value.

My guess is Durant and Curry will take a little less to have a better core around them.

Why would Orlando want Love?

He is better than Vuvevic and they get to dump Biyombo's contract. I am assuming they want to win more games.

That is about 3 times what they paid for the franchise. Just a mind boggling number and when Klay and Green ask for the max, do they low ball them?

All dynasties eventually break up because of this (combined with age/fatigue/injuries, which is probably less of a concern for this group right now). If they're smart, these players aren't going to take less than they're worth for long, while their owners profit off the historic success of the team, and Steph already played on an absolute steal of a deal for years now. Once one of them gets the new super max contract, I very much doubt that everyone else will fall in line and sign for much less than whatever money they're entitled to under the CBA. If I had to guess, Klay will be the first to go, and I think their front office is shrewd enough to get in front of the issue and deal him for young prospects on rookie deals before that time comes.

I think Julius and Russell will be good, young replacements for Green and Klay. We can even throw in Deng!

Sorry you're right. He'd never leave his jog to the finals every year.

But what will they make in revenue? Wouldn't the GS owner want to chase NBA immortality instead?

I think Windhorst on the Zach Lowe pod, said they won't make revenue at that point.

It's certainly not over yet despite all the coffin nails being driven here. Down 2-0 a year ago . . . granted the teams are different this time.

That's said, I hope it's 4-0 Warriors when all is said and done.

Nobody has come back down 3-0 to win a series in the NBA....Nobody.
This isn't MLB or NHL.

1 - How much will their revenues be in that same time period?

2 - How much will the value of the franchise appreciate?

Klay is expendable on that team.

Looking like a sweep...

K.Love + future pick for PG13
Tristan + another future pick for Melo
Cut Deron, resign Bogut if healthy for minimum
Try to move JR Smith and sign JJ Reddick or if not possible, SwaggyP
Convince D.Wade to take the minimum

This is an arms race

Both of those deals are awful for the other team

Knicks and Indiana don't have leverage against their stars at this point. Cavs is the only team that can persuade PG13 to stay and for Carmelo to waive his no trade clause... since Cavs is the only other team beside GS with any chance of winning the ring

How about

Love + pick for Griffin
Tristan + pick for Melo

Move Smith and Shumpert to Nets for cap space, sign Paul

it would be interesting if the 2017 Cavs is the team that changes that.
